Måneskin Share Music Video For “Gossip” Featuring Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello

Måneskin have premiered a new video for their new song “Gossip.“ The track, which features Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, is from the band’s new album “RUSH!,“ which will be released on January 20.

The group said the following:

Damiano David:

“Tom Morello’s enormous experience allowed us to take cues on how to work on tracks without overthinking. We can’t thank him enough for joining us on this track. It’s an honor for the whole band!”

Ethan Torchio:

“Tom Morello brought some RAGE to Måneskin!”

Thomas Raggi:

“Tom is one of the greatest musicians that I’ve always listened to and learned from. Playing with him is a dream come true. It’s an enormous gift and a personal highlight of this incredible year.”

Victoria De Angelis:

“The song originated from a riff which Thomas had written some time ago and which we had been holding onto for a long time which we kept developing. Then the icon Tom Morello joined and brought something extra to the classic uptempo Måneskin cheerfulness.”

Morello commented as well:

“When I heard that there was a rock’n’roll band from Italy that was blowing up around the world I was like, ‘Really? Come on.’ Then when I saw them play live I was blown away. They are unapologetically loud, unapologetically sexy, and unapologetically rocking and deserve to be one of the standard bearers for rock’n’roll for a younger generation.

I got to jam with them at their studio in Hollywood, it’s a great band, they all play great, they write great songs, they connect with their audience in a deep and meaningful way, and if you’ve seen them play live the crowd goes off! It looks a lot like some of the big bands of the ’90s.”

Watch Måneskin Perform “Supermodel” At “MTV Video Music Awards”

Earlier tonight (August 28), Måneskin performed their latest single “Supermodel” at the “MTV Video Music Awards” in Newark, NJ. You can see footage of that below. Notably, the broadcast was reportedly censored due to a wardrobe malfunction involving bassist Victoria De Angelis. Frontman Damiano David was also wearing backless chaps during the performance. Despite the controversy surrounding the censorship, the band still took home the “Best Alternative Video” award for “I Wanna Be Your Slave.”

Måneskin Release Cover Of Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream”

Måneskin have released their cover of Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream.” The song will appear on the soundtrack of the new biopic “Elvis,” which is set to be released on June 24.

Singer Damiano David told NME the following:

“We were talking about it with Baz Luhrmann, who had this really cool, super-smart idea, because it would have been so easy to give us an up-tempo song and go super rock-ish. He saw that between the lines that we were going to be able to give something else to show the sweet side of Elvis. I think we did a great job!”

He also added:

“The meaning of the song is very contemporary: ‘If I can dream of a better land/ Where all my brothers walk hand in hand‘. It’s about uniting, it’s about peace, freedom and happiness, and it’s coming out at the right moment. We’re really proud of what we did, and to be part of this project. I have a feeling it’s going to be amazing.”

Måneskin Premiere “Supermodel” Music Video

Måneskin have premiered a new video for their latest single “Supermodel.” You can check that out below:

The band commented:

“We tried to capture a cinematic vibe about an enigmatic character in the track and we wanted the visual to reflect that. After we came up with the idea, we worked closely with the directors and Ben [Chappell] to recreate frame shots and sequences from our favourite ’90s films. We had so much fun filming it in London, playing funny scenes that reminded us of a detective B-movie.”

Director Bedroom Projects continued:

“The Måneskin video was a project that was inspired by the references of a mixture of ’90s films like Run Lola Run, Reservoir Dogs, as well as Hitchcock and a bit of 1950s Hollywood. The macguffin of the mysterious purse was something out of Marnie or Pulp Fiction. Shot on Super 16.”

Chappell added:

“This video came about after a week of sitting around the pool in LA with the band thumbing through ’90s Vogue magazines and talking about our favourite ’90s movies. We tried to sneak in as many small references as we could throughout the video.”
