Dead By Wednesday Welcome Ex-Blood Has Been Shed Guitarist Dave Sharpe To The Band, Finish New Album

Dead By Wednesday have welcomed ex-Blood Has Been Shed guitarist Dave Sharpe to the group as a full-time member. With this news, the group have also confirmed that they have finished recording their new self-titled album. The effort, which was produced by Nicky Bellmore, is expected to be released later this year via Combat Records, and the band are currently working on a video for the first single “You & Die.“ An album teaser can be found below, along with the band’s upcoming tour dates.

Dead By Wednesday have premiered a new video for their song “Phoenix Rising.” This song features guest vocals from Kris Keyes (ex-Gargantua Soul), and it appears on the band’s latest album “Darkest Of Angels.”

Marc Rizzo (Soulfly) Joins Dead By Wednesday

Dead By Wednesday have announced the addition of Marc Rizzo to their lineup. The guitarist will work with the band whenever he has time away from Soulfly.

Marc Rizzo of Soulfly / Cavelera Conspiracy joins DEAD BY WEDNESDAY

Connecticut metal band Dead by Wednesday is currently enjoying the success of their greatly praised latest EMP Label Group release “The Darkest of Angels.” With the complexity of their newer sound, they have decided to add a second guitar player to their lineup: Marc Rizzo of Soulfly and Cavelera Conspiracy, and original songwriter and founding member of Ill Nino. Marc has been a long-time friend and collaborator of DBW’s drummer, Opus, and is featured on a new track, ‘The Surgeon.” He will be writing and recording on their next album, and doing select tours and shows around his Soulfly schedule.

Marc and DBW are excited about this new venture. Marc has released the following statement:

“I am excited to announce that I will be joining one of my new favorite bands Dead by Wednesday! When I have time off from Soulfly, I will be playing shows and recording a new record with DBW!!! DBW newest record is one of the best records of this year, and I’m stoked to play live with these guys soon!!! LET’S shred!!”

Look for their acoustic tour together in July & their debut full band show as well when Marc returns back from Europe this early fall.

Dead By Wednesday recently parted ways with vocalist Joe Morbidelli, which resulted in them using different singers for each track on their new album “The Darkest Of Angels.” The vocalists featured on the album include the band’s official new frontman Rob Roy, along with Brian Fair (Shadows Fall), Carley Coma (Candiria), AK (Flotsam And Jetsam), John Arch (Fates Warning), Rob Dukes (Generation Kill, ex-Exodus), Waylon Reavis (ex-Mushroomhead), Sean Danielson (Smile Empty Soul), Paul Stoddard (Diecast), Kris Keyes (ex-Gargauntua Soul), Antony Linesmen (Armageddon), and Ceschi Ramos (Fake Four, Inc.).
