Currents Premiere “Kill The Ache” Music Video

Currents have premiered a new video for their song “Kill The Ache.” This track is from the band’s latest album “The Way It Ends.“ The group commented:

“‘Kill The Ache‘ is about detachment and the experience of dark thoughts in bright moments. We thought that showcasing the beauty of our home area while visually representing some central themes would be a great accompaniment to the song. This track has become a sneaky fan-favorite, so we thought we’d give it a spotlight for those who may not have heard it yet.”

Currents Premiere New Song “Monsters”

Currents have premiered a new song titled “Monsters.” This track is from the band’s new album “The Way It Ends,” which will be released on June 5. Brian Wille commented:

“‘Monsters‘ is about taking responsibility for the toxic relationships in your life and using past failures as fuel for the future. The track features some different sounds for the band and I’m stoked on the riffs Chris [Wiseman] put together on this one. We hope you enjoy it!”

Currents Premiere “A Flag To Wave” Video, Reveal Details For New Album “The Way It Ends”

Currents have premiered a new video for their new song “A Flag To Wave.” This track is from the band’s new album “The Way It Ends,” which will be released on June 5.

The group commented:

“‘A Flag to Wave‘ is about the search for identity and purpose. This song goes out to anyone looking for meaning in their lives and to those who have already found it. Over the last 4 years, we have traveled the world trying to make a name for ourselves; playing shows with some of our favorite bands and touring all over the United States, Europe, the UK and parts of Canada.

We’ve been met with various hardships along the way, but have also been met with unprecedented kindness, support & friendship that we will cherish and appreciate for the rest of our lives. There are no plans of stopping and with our new record, we plan to hit the world harder than ever.

This video contains footage from our 2019 tour with Northlane and our 2020 tour with Silent Planet; shot by Chris Klumpp and Sarah Holick respectively – then edited together by Burke Cullinane of King Wolf Creative. We are proud to share this song & video with you and give you a glimpse our our lives for the last year. We miss these shows with all our heart and hope to see you all again soon.”

Currents Premiere New Song “Second Skin”

Currents have premiered a new song titled “Second Skin.” Vocalist Brian Wille commented:

“‘Second Skin‘ is about losing yourself to the world around you. We all have different ‘faces’ we put on throughout our daily lives to adapt to the expectations of the people around us; but what happens when we set aside our own emotions, opinions & aspirations for too long? You step back one day and realize you’ve become unrecognizable; you’ve spent so much time cycling through different faces that you’ve lost sight of your own identity.”

Currents Premiere “Poverty Of Self” Music Video

Currents have premiered a new video for their new song “Poverty Of Self.” This track is expected to appear on the band’s upcoming album, which will be released in spring 2020. Vocalist Brian Willie commented:

“‘Poverty Of Self‘ is a stab at predatory enterprises taking advantage of the sick & broken for profit; driving further division in our already fractured world.”

Currents Premiere “Forever Marked” Video

Currents have premiered a new video for their song “Forever Marked.” This track is from the band’s new EP “I Let The Devil In,” which was released today (December 14). Brian Wille commented:

“‘Forever Marked‘ is a song about the separation and degradation of society through human error & conflict. We’ve touched on this subject before, but we really wanted to capture violence and the feelings of aggression & urgency to accompany the message.”

Currents Premiere “Into Despair” Video

Currents have premiered a new video for their new song “Into Despair.” This track is from the band’s new EP “I Let The Devil In,” which will be released on December 14.

Vocalist Brian Wille said the following about the song:

“‘Into Despair‘ is about the moment you fall back into old, destructive habits. We’ve all experienced the shame of being back in a place we thought we left a long time ago, and we wanted to really capture that feeling and put it into a song. This is the first time I’ve ever felt like I said exactly what I needed to say, and so I’m proud to present ‘Into Despair‘ to all of you.”

He also added the following about the EP:

“Time is a common theme in this band; we believe that spending dedicated time on a project is the most important aspect of having a fully realized idea. ‘I Let The Devil In‘ is a collection of songs 3 years in the making. Each song has been reworked and revisited multiple times before finally coming to Ryan Leitru to piece them all together in their final state. We couldn’t be more excited to share ‘I Let The Devil In‘ with all of you, and to get you ready for what we have planned for the future of Currents.”
