Currents Premiere “Forever Marked” Video

Currents have premiered a new video for their song “Forever Marked.” This track is from the band’s new EP “I Let The Devil In,” which was released today (December 14). Brian Wille commented:

“‘Forever Marked‘ is a song about the separation and degradation of society through human error & conflict. We’ve touched on this subject before, but we really wanted to capture violence and the feelings of aggression & urgency to accompany the message.”

Currents Premiere “Into Despair” Video

Currents have premiered a new video for their new song “Into Despair.” This track is from the band’s new EP “I Let The Devil In,” which will be released on December 14.

Vocalist Brian Wille said the following about the song:

“‘Into Despair‘ is about the moment you fall back into old, destructive habits. We’ve all experienced the shame of being back in a place we thought we left a long time ago, and we wanted to really capture that feeling and put it into a song. This is the first time I’ve ever felt like I said exactly what I needed to say, and so I’m proud to present ‘Into Despair‘ to all of you.”

He also added the following about the EP:

“Time is a common theme in this band; we believe that spending dedicated time on a project is the most important aspect of having a fully realized idea. ‘I Let The Devil In‘ is a collection of songs 3 years in the making. Each song has been reworked and revisited multiple times before finally coming to Ryan Leitru to piece them all together in their final state. We couldn’t be more excited to share ‘I Let The Devil In‘ with all of you, and to get you ready for what we have planned for the future of Currents.”

Drummer Jeff Brown Exits Currents

Jeff Brown has announced his departure from Currents. The drummer is leaving the group to pursue “other goals.”

Brown said the following:

“Hey guys Jeff here,

Just wanted to announce that I will be leaving Currents. I will be pursuing other goals that I have had on my mind and have been putting off for awhile. I didn’t want to hold the rest of the guys back. They are an extremely talented group of individuals and deserve someone who will give it 100% again. I’ll definitely miss the crazy shows and meeting all of you guys.

This band was a huge part of my life and I can’t wait to watch it grow into something bigger. I never dreamed a band I started in my parents basement would grow into something that it is today. Thanks for all the support over the years. I just grew out of the touring lifestyle, it honestly just wasn’t for me anymore. It’s not easy being away from your family all the time especially when dealing with depression like I do.

Happiness over anything in the end.

Thanks again everyone. I love you Dee, Chris, Ryan and Brian. You guys are like brothers to me and best of luck to you all. See ya guys later!”
