Wage War Premiere “Grave” Music Video

Wage War have premiered a new video for their song “Grave” via Billboard. This track is from the band’s new album “Pressure,” which was released today (August 30).

Cody Quistad commented:

“It’s a song where we decided to step out of our normal boundaries. We’re a notoriously heavy band, but we made a song that still harnesses the heavier elements, yet has this chanty chorus — and musically it’s got more electronic elements to it as well. We really just tried to make something different, and in the end of the recording process, we listened back to the songs and felt really good about that one, so we decided to give it some special attention.”

“Obviously it’s an extreme, but it’s about being caught up in a toxic cycle with people, and eventually, you just have to let them out of your life. That’s kind of what the song is about, that rest-in-peace of that friendship, relationship or whatever that toxic thing is. It’s just part of growing up. Your friends are fewer, but they’re better.”

Wage War Premiere New Song “Prison”

Wage War have premiered a new song titled “Prison.” This track is from the band’s new album “Pressure,” which will be released on August 30. The group commented:

“‘Prison‘ is one of the first looks at us stepping out of the box on this record. It harbors all the aggression our band is known for — but with some new twists. We had a blast writing it.”

Wage War Premiere New Song “Me Against Myself”

Wage War have premiered a new song titled “Me Against Myself.” This track is from the band’s new album “Pressure,” which will be released on August 30. Cody Quistad commented:

“‘Me Against Myself’ is probably our farthest journey into the melodic world. From the very first demo, we knew it was special. The lyrics are about as transparent as it gets dealing with the fact that a lot of times, we’re our own worst enemy. We’ve always prided ourselves on being versatile and pushing ourselves to create something new and different, and that’s what this song stands for.”

Wage War Premiere “Who I Am” Video, Reveal Details For New Album “Pressure”

Wage War have premiered a new video for their new song “Who I Am.” This track is from the band’s new album “Pressure,” which will be released on August 30.

The group commented:

“We’ve spent countless hours, days, and months over the first half of this year perfecting every detail of this album, and it’s been so hard to keep under wraps. We are glad it’s finally here. We pushed every boundary we could think of to make this record. Picking songs to release ahead of an album is always a difficult task but we chose ‘Who I Am‘ to be the frontrunner. It’s ‘Wage War on 11.’ Lyrically, the song dives into the reality of the people who inevitably look down on you or talk down to the things you invest yourself in or who you try to be. We sometimes forget that we’re all human beings and we all feel and hurt.”

They also added:

“Anytime you go into make a record, there’s pressure. What you do in that studio, with those people, affects the next however many years of your career, and if you play your cards right, it can change your life. It really felt like a make or break situation. The ‘Pressure’ to make the perfect Wage War album, one that harvests what people have come to love about our band yet still grow and explore new territory and push ourselves harder than ever before.

However, that’s not the only pressure this album talks about. There are songs on the album that deal with mental health, and the pressure to act ‘ok’ even when things aren’t. There are songs on the album that speak of not succumbing to pressure and being just another face in the crowd, but more so making a change in yourself and the world around you. Being in a band, making music, playing shows in one way or another all comes with a ‘Pressure,’ and how you deal with it is what determines who you are. This record is our response.”

It would be a mistake for me not to say this record was the most opened and true reflection of what I lived through the past years of my life. It all was honest and I want you to feel it. There’s a part of me that always wants to leave you guessing on what did you just felt when you listened to that sound/melody/lyric. I took a red pill and followed the rabbit in this life and you know, I fucking love it. You don’t even understand what’s going on in my head anymore but I still want you to love me. And the funniest part is that you’re actually there, waiting for me through the tears and mud. I can’t thank you enough for that. With that being said, I want this record to make you feel free, fresh, new, a little bit spoiled, ready for life and every challenge it’s gonna take you through. Please enjoy, I finally took this “Pressure” off my chest. Buy it on iTunes right now, we will release physical copies later. Comment your favorite song below. Much love. 🐝💿
