Mire (Ex-As I Lay Dying) Premiere New Song “Inside”

Mire, the band featuring Nick Hipa (ex-As I Lay Dying), Ryan Glisan, and Benton McKibbern, have premiered a new song titled “Inside.” The group commented:

“This song incorporates several more elements than ‘Refined‘, notably duel guitar solos, more dynamic vocals, and even a little cinematic instrumentation for the intro. While there was once a demo version of this song online years ago, we are enthused to finally release the complete and final version of what we had always envisioned this to be. Extra mega shout out to the phenomenal Jesse Beahler [Thy Art Is Murder], who performed the drums which elevated this song to the next level!”

Ex-As I Lay Dying Guitarist Nick Hipa Launches New Band Mire

Nick Hipa (ex-As I Lay Dying) has teamed up with Ryan Glisan and Benton McKibbern for a new project called Mire. A video for the band’s first single, “Refined,” can be found below. Hipa commented:

“Very stoked to share some new music from my band Mire. Ryan, Benton, and I started this journey together in 2017, with the simple desire to create stylistically unrestrained music based on mutual admiration for riff based songwriting. Our first single ‘Refined‘ is out now. It’s a decently pummeling tune that represents just one facet of what we’ve created together. I really hope you dig it, and look forward to sharing more tunes in the near future.”
