• Siamese Premiere “Drown” Video

Siamese have premiered a new video for their new song “Drown.” You can check out that clip below. Frontman Mirza Radonjica commented:

“‘Drown’ is self-directed anger. It’s about knowing exactly where it hurts and going there anyway. The mirroring in this song is selfdepravating(sic?). I think that when I sing ‘I want you to break me till I drown,’ that’s both a confession and a request. My drowning becomes a release, not a punishment.”

    Frontman Maynard James Keenan commented:

“The Briefcase has been part of the Puscifer mythology for years. Everyone wonders what exactly is inside. This issue doesn’t necessarily answer the question… but it moves the story forward.”

“The message of the song – that black is our ‘happy colour’ and that I want my funeral guests to adhere to the ‘dress code: pink’ – is actually no joke. It’s a shame that when I eventually kick the bucket, I’ll only be able to attend this pink funeral service lifelessly.”

  • A.A. Williams Premieres “Hold It Together” Video

A.A. Williams has premiered a new video for her new song “Hold It Together.” This track is from her new album, “Solstice,” which will be released on June 5. Williams said the following about the single:

“Silence exists where you long for answers, a bleak fragility that you daren’t disturb. Where beauty stood only the faintest glow remains, afraid of smothering it you shrink into a mould of your own making. Your edges dulled, your features disappearing, you put on that brave face not knowing whether you do it to protect others or yourself. You smile, you carry on, feeling everything, showing nothing.”

  • Filth Recently Involved In Van Crash, GoFundMe Launched

Filth were recently involved in a van crash. The vehicle was totaled, but the band made it out okay. You can help them out by donating via GoFundMe.

    The band commented:

“Tuesday March 10th we were involved in a crash on I-95 that totaled our van, flipped our trailer, damaged the side of it, and blew the tire out. Everyone is thankfully okay and safe, most of our gear was fine, some damage here and there.

We decided we didn’t want to drop the tour, we were able to find a RV to rent so we could keep going. The expenses from all of this keeps adding up. Insurance isn’t covering anything since the van is totaled and we didn’t have full coverage on it, we are completely at a loss with that.

The RV rental drained all the money we had saved up. We have a very large merch order that has to be paid off at the end of tour, as well as having to try and purchase a van before our next tour starts in April.

We wanted to continue the tour so we could play these shows, see all of our friends and fans, and make any money we can to help with all the financial stress we are under now. We hate asking for handouts as we’ve always handled everything ourselves, but we are in a bind and need help.

Anything at all helps, and we can not express enough how thankful we are for everyone who has supported us along this journey.

Thank you all so much, GUTTER GANG!”

They also added the following via social media:

“Yesterday morning we were in an accident on I 95 that ended with the other individual fleeing the scene and us with a totaled van and wrecked trailer. Everyone is okay and safe.

We were able to rush around and lock in a RV to finish the tour, and with the help of our tour mates Blackwater Drowning we were able to still perform last night.

Between the cost of the RV rental, needing to purchase a new van, tour expenses, merch payment that has to be paid, etc, we are drastically in the negative and not sure how we can move forward. We truly hate to ask for any help, but at the moment we are at our wits end.

We can not express how much we appreciate all the support we’ve gotten over the years from everyone, it means the world to us. If you donate $50 or more we will send you a free shirt and guest list to any show of your choice.

If you donate that amount, please email us and let us know what size, etc. If you don’t we will have no idea cause godundme doesn’t keep up with it, and we want to do this and say thank you. The email address will be in the comments.

Again thank you Gutter Gang for all the love over the years.”

  • Drowning Pool Have “Plenty Enough Songs” For A New Album

During an interview with Cassius Morris, Drowning Pool guitarist C.J. Pierce discussed the band’s new material. According to him, the group have “plenty enough songs right now to do a whole record.”

    Pierce said the following:

“Everything’s still a fluid kind of schedule. There’s plenty enough songs right now to do a whole record, of course, and just kind of honing in on the stuff that’s already been done and stuff that has been done and finished and recorded already. For me, there’s a few songs I’ve just gotta get down some guitar solos [on]. I like to take my time with that and write for the song instead of, like, ‘Here comes the solo’ and just this ‘look at me, look at me’. Everything needs to fit and flow with it. Sometimes it happens instantly.

That’s the thing with us, with DROWNING POOL as well, we’re not this machine where you’re just putting out songs and records. This is my life. This is what I feel. This is my art. So before we put it out and it’s finished, all four of us, we have to like every part of every song because you’re gonna be playing it for the rest of your life. So, we don’t just throw stuff out there. And some things come fast, some things take a little bit longer. But we have plenty of material.”

    He also added:

“June 5th will be the 25-year anniversary of [DROWNING POOL’s debut] ‘Sinner’ record and ‘Bodies’, so we’re gonna be doing the record in its entirety on tours coming up. And then towards the end of the year, before the end of the year, we would like to put out the new record. We’re gonna have singles and releases in between still up until that happens. And then next year, it’ll be a full run, another tour, with some of the new stuff included, of course, playing the ‘Sinner’ record.”

  • Eagles Of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes Reflects On Divisive Comments Following Le Bataclan Terrorist Attack: “You Have To Consider That I Was Traumatized”

Back in 2015, Eagles Of Death Metal were playing at Le Bataclan in Paris, France when the venue was attacked by terrorists. After surviving the tragedy, frontman Jesse Hughes generated controversy after claiming Muslim security staff were involved in the incident and that Muslims were celebrating outside the building. Now, during an appearance on The Bad Decisions Podcast, Hughes reflected on those comments, partially attributing them to trauma.

Hughes said the following when asked about people misinterpreting the way he processed the attack:

“Well, they weren’t there. That’s one thing. But also you have to consider that I was traumatized. I was deeply traumatized, and I was very, very protective of everyone that had been there. So I wouldn’t say that I don’t believe the things that I said at the time, but I would definitely say that today I probably wouldn’t say them because it’s just not necessary.

The truth is that I’ve always looked at it like I’m a rock and roller. I don’t care who you vote for — check your politics at the door, and everyone gets to come here and shake their dick and have a good time. For whatever reason, the circumstances of my life made it so that for a moment I didn’t have that luxury anymore.

Let me just put it this way: the amount of people that crawled out of the woodwork to manipulate me and use my tragedy to their benefit was endless, and it disgusted me on both sides of the aisle.”

He went on to discuss his political views:

“Sometimes people will say I’m a Trump supporter. That is just not true. I’ve never, ever, ever one time in the press ever endorsed or said that I support the man. I’ve just said things that have been controversial that you could attribute maybe to one side or another. But I have a different perspective. And I still believe the things I believe, but I was able to return to a place where — check your politics at the door.

Elvis [Presley] said it best. I’m an entertainer and it’s nobody’s business what I vote for, ’cause I ain’t here to tell you who to vote for.”

He also added the following after the interviewer voiced support for gun ownership and gay marriage:

“Dude, our first album is literally the transgender flag. I don’t think anyone realizes that. I grew up in Palm Springs. Nobody is more supportive of the gay community than I am, dude. But when everyone’s all worked up and everyone’s angry and everyone’s too busy hating, it’s difficult to see the nuances.”
