  • Neal Schon Says Jonathan Cain Quit Journey, Cain Disputes Those Claims

Journey guitarist Neal Schon recently claimed that Jonathan Cain had exited the band. However, the keyboardist has since denied that assertion.

    Schon initially said the following:

“Jonathan Cain announced his farewell to Journey tonight. I’m nowhere near done! Journey has so much more life ahead! I’m sure we will have a great tour!”

He then went on to say that Cain made the decision to leave because he “wants to do his ministry.”

Despite this, Cain’s representative has now issued a statement to clarify those comments:

“Jonathan Cain remains an active member of Journey, and any reports suggesting otherwise are inaccurate. He is fully dedicated to touring with the band over the next couple of years and has only expressed plans to retire at a later time.”

  • As I Lay Dying Frontman Tim Lambesis: “All The Loss From Last Year Is One Of The Greatest Blessings I’ve Ever Had In My Life”

As previously reported, As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis recently launched a new version of the band alongside the release of a new song titled “Echoes.” Now, while responding to fans on social media, the frontman further commented on this latest rebirth, saying “all the loss from last year is one of the greatest blessings [he has] ever had in my life.”

    Lambesis had the following exchange:

    Fan: “Money grab.”

Lambesis: “0% chance you have even the slightest idea how the music industry works. I sold all my motorcycles just to get this back on track. It’s pure passion”

    He later had another exchange:

Fan: “The ‘victim’ suit does not fit you anymore…”

Lambesis: “I agree because I don’t consider myself a victim. This is the best quality of life for me thus far and all the loss from last year is one of the greatest blessings I’ve ever had in my life. So thankful. Maybe you misunderstand me standing up against false narratives about me as me thinking I’m a victim. I’m just part of the few people in society who cares to dig for truth rather than the media’s narrative.”

As I Lay Dying’s latest return follows a 2024 mass exodus that saw everyone exit the band except Lambesis. The controversial vocalist, who previously served prison time for trying to hire a hitman to kill one of his former wives, was left in that position after footage of him engaging in altercations with his latest wife and their dog surfaced online.

  • Puddle Of Mudd Premiere “Firefly” Lyric Video

Puddle Of Mudd have shared a new lyric video for their song “Firefly.” You can check that out below. The track is from the band’s latest album “Kiss The Machine.”

    Frontman Wes Scantlin commented:

“I wrote ‘Firefly’ as a tribute to Lane Staley, Chester Bennington, Chris Cornell, and all the fallen soldiers who gave their lives. Their voices and sacrifices lit a fire in me, and I wanted this song to be a way of keeping their light alive.

They all struggled with demons most people couldn’t see, and the song is my way of recognizing that pain while keeping their light alive. I’ve been through my own battles too, and I’m in a better place now. I feel lucky to still be here. I’m a lucky dude. Music heals me, and I hope it heals others as well.”

He went on to say it also focuses on childhood nostalgia:

“I miss my grandma. She used to kick us kids out of the kitchen before supper and send us outside, where we’d catch fireflies in jars and turn them into makeshift lanterns. Those sweet, beautiful memories stayed with me and are woven into this song. I wanted that feeling of joy and light to live inside the song alongside the sadness. The Firefly is that spark of hope we hold onto, even in the darkest times.”

The first single, a newly reimagined version of “Where Are You Christmas” can be found below. Singer Taylor Momsen commented on the single, which she originally sang as Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 film “How The Grinch Stole Christmas”:

“Revisiting ‘Where Are You Christmas’ 25 years later feels like coming home to a part of myself I hadn’t seen in a long time. I was just a child when I first sang it, and I never could’ve imagined the way the song, and the film, would stay with people for so long and unknowingly shape my career path as an adult. Recording it now, with all the life I’ve lived in between, I hear it through a different lens.. but the heart of it is the same. It’s about wonder, hope, and holding on to the magic — something I think we all need more than ever.”
