The Amity Affliction have shared an official video for the title track of their new album “House Of Cards.” That effort will be released on April 24.
Vocalist Joel Birch commented on the single, which focuses on the complicated relationship he and his siblings had with their late mother:
“Our mother died in 2024 and none of us had a healthy relationship with her. She was very self-involved, aggressive, abusive in our early years, and in her later years, spent a good amount of time trying to put a wedge between the three of us. Thankfully, once she passed, the three of us actually became closer as we realized we had individual, but shared trauma related to her.”

01. “Vida Nueva“
02. “Kickboxer“

Flatwounds have revealed that they will be releasing a new EP, titled “Chain Of Command,” on March 20. Pre-orders can be found HERE.

“Chain Of Command” Track Listing:
01. “Emulator“
02. “Separate“
03. “Face It“
04. “Inertia“
Vocalist Colin O’Hare commented:
“‘Chain Of Command‘ represents how we’ve evolved and matured as musicians. This is our sound. It’s a little weird, dissonant, melodic, and heavy when it needs to be. The title works because most of the songs are about apathy and a lack of action. There’s always a ‘chain of command’ in life, and it keeps you from doing what you want. It could be societal or in your head. You always have to answer to something, though.”
A video for the opening track, “Emulator,” can be found below. O’Hare added the following about that:
“I’ve transitioned from talking about inner subjects to the exterior world. ‘Emulator‘ is about not being who you actually are. You’re living life without any real meaning. There’s no substance. Instead, you’re the type of dude who works a job he doesn’t like, drives a car he doesn’t like, and complains about everything being awful. It’s because he’s not doing anything he loves.”

Amira Elfeky has cancelled her shows in Australia and Japan. The dates were scrapped “due to health circumstances and challenges beyond [her] control.”

Elfeky commented:
“To my fans in Australia and Japan,
This is really hard to post, and I know how disappointing this is. Due to health circumstances and challenges beyond my control, I have to cancel my upcoming support and two headline dates in Australia. I never take a decision like this lightly, especially knowing how much time, excitement, and planning goes into showing up for a show.
Knowing that my first ever shows with you sold out makes this even harder to share. I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support you showed.
More than anything, I want to be able to give you the show you truly deserve that feels complete, powerful, and fully present. Right now, I wouldn’t be able to deliver in the way I want to, and I have to honor that for both you and myself.
I will be back, and I can’t wait to perform for you. Thank you for your patience, your love, and for believing in me. I feel it always.
To all ticket holders for my headline sideshows, ticketing outlets will be automatically in touch in the coming days to arrange refunds”

Hecate Enthroned have premiered a new song titled “Gallery Of Rotting Portraits.” You can check that out below. The track is from the band’s new album, “The Corpse Of A Titan, A Lament Long Buried,” which will be released on May 29.
Bassist Dylan Hughes commented on the song:
“The single takes its name from the morbid preservation of the peat bogs, where bodies like the Lindow Man have rested for centuries. ‘A Gallery Of Rotting Portraits’ uses these ‘pagan sacrifices’ as a metaphor for obsolete devotion. It captures the jarring disconnect of unearthing a ritualized past only to find it stripped of its power. The song confronts the cold reality that while the bodies remain, the spirits and superstitions that put them there have long since rotted away, leaving us in a world devoid of its ancient magic.”
He also added the following about the album:
“Our first release since 2019, these are huge, epic, hard-hitting songs carved in the traditional Hecate Enthroned way with a menacing veil delivered with a crisp punch. Lyrically based around ancient British myths and legends.”

“The Corpse Of A Titan, A Lament Long Buried” Track Listing:
01. “Adar Rhiannon”
02. “Spirits Stir Within Our Ancestors Tombs”
03. “The Arcane Golem”
