Three Days Grace Premiere New Song “I Am An Outsider”

Three Days Grace have premiered a new song titled “I Am An Outsider.” This track is from the band’s new album “Outsider,” which will be released on March 9.

Drummer Neil Sanderson told Billboard the following about the track:

“We’ve always written about being the odd person out and being comfortable with that. It’s about deciding that you don’t want to be exposed to so many influences in your life and to people who have a negative influence on you. You want to be able to take a great big step backwards and view all the chaos and absurdity from a distance — ‘I don’t want to believe the same way, the same things you to just to sort of conform to anything. I want to have my own set of thoughts and my own set of feelings.’ We’ve always kind of felt like that, I think.”

He also added the following about how it fits the theme of their new album “Outsider”:

“I think there’s a common thread that talks about how to navigate your way through modern life and being bombarded by information and feelings and beliefs. It’s pretty impossible to ignore, but I think the record contemplates how to wake up and be yourself and not succumb to all the distractions and influences around you, but without just disappearing from the face of the Earth. We don’t have all the answers here, but we definitely do bring up the topic a lot.”

“Outsider” Track Listing:

01. “Right Left Wrong”
02. “The Mountain”
03. “I Am An Outsider”
04. “Infra-Red”
05. “Nothing To Lose But You”
06. “Me Against You”
07. “Love Me Or Leave Me”
08. “Strange Days”
09. “Villain I’m Not”
10. “Chasing The First Time”
11. “The New Real”
12. “The Abyss”

Three Days Grace Premiere “The Mountain” Video

Three Days Grace have premiered a new video for their new song “The Mountain.” This track is from the band’s new album “Outsider,” which will be released on March 9. The clip, which was directed by Sean Cartwright, was filmed at a UFC octagon and features a guest appearance from UFC fighter Misha Cirkunov.

Brad Walst commented on the new album:

“To me, Outsider represents the journey to find your place. The world feels crazy at times. We try to get away from that every once in a while. We do our own thing, and we’re comfortable doing it. We have always looked forward—and not backwards. That’s an ongoing theme.”

Neil Sanderson added:

“This is all about taking a step back from life’s madness without destroying yourself, cutting everyone off, or going crazy. You get a break and find the space to create.”

Three Days Grace Cover Phantogram’s “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore”

Three Days Grace have recorded a cover of Phantogram’s “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore.” Check it out below:

Neil Sanderson commented:

“In October, we were set up in a Toronto studio recording some live-off-the-floor music ideas, which we often like to do…just plug-in, hit the red button and see what happens. Brad started playing the bass line to this Phantogram song. We’d been talking the day before about how much we liked “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore”…really cool riff and lyrics. We started jamming it in a different key and tempo than the original, and it sounded really heavy and trashy in a good way. Pretty sure we kept the 2nd or 3rd take, once we learned the arrangement on the fly. We love recording spur of the moment things like this. We think it turned out pretty cool so we decided to share it.”
