Fleshgod Apocalypse Release Cover Of Eiffel 65’s “Blue (Da Ba Dee)”

Fleshgod Apocalypse have released a cover of Eiffel 65’s “Blue (Da Ba Dee).” A lyric video for the track, which has been retitled “Blue (Turns To Red),” can be found below. Frontman Francesco Paoli commented:

“After the amazing response over our latest single “No,” we wanted to release something that could make the end of this shitty 2020 a bit funnier for everyone. That’s why we took a popular dance track from the 90s and made it the heaviest, angriest, bloodiest party song ever. We’re ready to blast your ears again in 2021, stay tuned!”

Fleshgod Apocalypse Premiere “No” Music Video

Fleshgod Apocalypse have premiered a new video for their new song “No.” Francesco Paoli commented:

“We live in a world where people are searching for easy answers to complex questions. Self-styled gurus, fake news and miracle pills show up on screen as the silver bullet that may cast out all your fears and troubles. If you need shortcuts to dominate the intricate reality we live in, be aware that the outcome might not be what you expect. Will you find a way to save this world on Google? No. Will things change if we don’t act? No. Will self-delusions lead us somewhere? No. Can music, and art in general, help us cope with this chaos? Absolutely yes. This release marks another milestone for our line-up, featuring Veronica, Fabio and Eugene as official band members.”

Fleshgod Apocalypse Confirm New Lineup, Release Acoustic Version Of “The Day We’ll Be Gone”

Fleshgod Apocalypse have officially welcomed vocalist Veronica Bordacchini, guitarist Fabio Bartoletti, and drummer Eugene Ryabchenko to the band. With this news, the group have also released a two-track single featuring an acoustic version of “The Day We’ll Be Gone“ and an instrumental version of the track.

Vocalist Francesco Paoli said the following about the new lineup:

“This is the best line-up we could ask for. Eugene is an absolute phenomenon on drums, so I’m really glad to pass the torch to a great successor. Fabio is a true guitar hero, extremely tight and tasteful. Veronica has been with us for 7 years now and even today her incredible talent never ceases to amaze me, so I know she can push her limits further in the future. Now our rehearsal room feels like home again.”

He also added the following about the acoustic version of “The Day We’ll Be Gone“:

“In these uncertain times, we wanted to bare our inner souls and let the music speak for itself. This track pushes us out of our comfort zone as musicians and performer, proving that art in any form can survive the most dreadful circumstances. Given the current situation, it was the right time to do something truly experimental, a once in a lifetime musical exploration for the band. Our recent live streaming concert introduced our new band members to a worldwide crowd, but this song really shows how strongly open minded and skilled they are. Me, Francesco and Paolo have been through this journey together for over a decade, but we haven’t felt this good for a long time. That’s why we’re glad to announce them as official band members. Expect much more, sooner than you think.”

So we decided to perform an exclusive LIVE STREAMING CONCERT at the prestigious Bloom Studio here in Rome. Playing live represents the very essence of who we are, as musicians. That’s what we miss the most, in times like these. This will be an amazing opportunity to reconnect with all our fans who are waiting for us to hit the road again, in the safest possible way. “Hello everyone,

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the postponement of our upcoming tour in North America with the Veleno String Quartet and The Agonist. This has been decided upon due to current entry restrictions in the United States, following recent cases of coronavirus in Italy.

We’re absolutely devastated about the delay, but we’re already working to reschedule the tour for late Summer/early Fall (exact dates coming soon).

We know that there are so many people waiting for us in the US and Canada and we can’t wait to see you. We’ll keep you updated as shows are being rebooked, after which the show tickets and VIP tickets will be honored. So please stay tuned for further developments.

To the many of you asking how you can help support during this time, merch purchases always help and will be used to get us back up to speed and on the road. You can check out our store here: shop.fleshgodapocalypse.com

Thank you guys so much for the immense support. We’ll see you on the road, sooner than you think!”

Fleshgod Apocalypse Premiere “Monnalisa” Music Video

Fleshgod Apocalypse have premiered a new video for their song “Monnalisa.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Veleno.”

Vocalist/guitarist Francesco Paoli commented:

“‘Monnalisa‘ is truly experimental but, at the same time, one of the best songs we’ve ever written. It stood up amongst the other ‘Veleno‘ tracks right from its release, becoming an instant classic for our fans.

I believe what makes this one so special for everyone is that the idea of “poisoning”, which is at the very center of our album ‘Veleno‘ is connected to love. Even the most noble of feelings can become toxic if we suddenly lose our identity, letting our mind and soul become enslaved to someone else.

In the end, we can truly love someone only if we find a way to love ourselves first. This is one of the most meaningful messages hidden inside our album. That’s why we felt the need to emphasize it even more through this video.

When I came up with the concept behind the video, we all agreed that only someone like Giovanni Bucci (Korn, Oddko), who directed our previous video ‘Sugar‘, could have handled it the way we desired. The final result is a cinematic video that looks as good as a high-end fashion film, with incredible production values and unconventional imagery, mostly inspired by the historical heritage of Italian fashion and architecture, while still maintaining some horror aspects.

Giovanni and I have known each other for a very long time and I collaborated with his band Oddko. I’m a huge fan of all his work as a full rounded artist. He and all the creative minds of the Void ‘N Disorder team, like the extraordinarily talented Art Director Paola Rocchetti, and top-level colorist Gabe Sanchez (Post Malone, Usher, Camila Cabello) transformed a bunch of cool ideas into a mind-blowing piece of art.”

Bucci added:

“My goal with this music video was to prove that you can make something elegant and classy and still be metal as fuck.

I wanted to get away from the gritty stereotypes of metal videos and since we are all Italians, I thought that it would be interesting to juxtapose Death Metal imagery with elements from classical Italian culture, with its sophistication, elegance, and style.

Moreover, it’s always a pleasure to work with these guys and Francesco, who plays the drums on Oddko’s upcoming album and is also featured in the next, soon to be released, music videos.”
