Fleshgod Apocalypse Reschedule Live DVD Shoot

Fleshgod Apocalypse have rescheduled their planned live DVD shoot. It will now take place during a free show at the Afterlife Live Club in Perugia, Italy on September 22. Francesco Paoli said the following about that:

“Sadly, after being seriously robbed in Gothenburg a few weeks ago, we were forced to postpone our show at the Afterlife Live Club in Perugia by a few months. The new date is set for September 22nd, with free entrance. As you know, the show will be recorded for our first live DVD. It will be a unique and unrepeatable experience, featuring many guests, a real string quintet and more surprises so…don’t miss it! Thanks so much for the huge support you’ve been showing us!”

Fleshgod Apocalypse Cancel Remaining European Dates After Thieves Steal Their Live Rig And More

Fleshgod Apocalypse have cancelled their remaining European dates after theives stole their full live rig, stage props, instruments and more. The band posted the below statement and video:

“Hello friends, we’re sorry to inform you that we’ll not be able to make it for the last four shows of this tour: Copenhagen, Hamburg, Brasov and Mannheim.

Last night some miserable pieces of shit broke into our van and stole our full live rig, production tools and stage props, drums gear, our signature custom-made guitars and bass (by Rufini Guitars), merchandise and various spare parts. Please let us know if you spot one of those turds trying to resell our stuff online.
Check out these pics:

If you want to help, you can give us a hand by buying some merchandise from our store (shop.fleshgodapocalypse.com).

This is a tough day for us, but we’re stubborn like a bull and we’ll keep working harder than before, which is the only way we know to overcome adversities.
Old-school we are, old-school we’ll die.

Please spread the word and thanks so much for your support!”

Fleshgod Apocalypse Drummer Pukes Mid-Song, Keeps Playing

Fleshgod Apocalypse drummer David Folchitto wasn’t feeling too well during the band’s October 27 performance at Metal Alliance Fest in Bogota, Colombia, and ended up puking like crazy mid-song. Despite his sickness, he managed to hold himself together and kept playing.

The band commented:

“***WARNING: Graphic content!***

Many people keep asking us about the evolution of music industry nowadays. Well, here’s our point:
Some bands proudly show off their achievements on Patreon or Indiegogo, to get the gain without the pain, or act like attention whores, thinking that a bunch of likes will make them real bands.

On our side, we think that breaking your ass on the road and prove yourself on stage is still the most respectable way to grow, especially in the eyes of your fans.

Two days ago in Bogotá our drummer David was feeling really sick and, honestly, we weren’t sure whether to cancel or not.

But there was no way to dissuade him. The motherfucker wanted to play at all costs! So we went on stage and, despite the sickness, he played a terrific show until the last two songs. Then, all of a sudden, it became like a scene out of “The Exorcist” (just watch the video below). And even then… he DIDN’T STOP PLAYING!

That’s what we call commitment, pure dedication. Also kudos to Krimh and our stage hand Giannis for helping David during those… disgusting moments!

Please, don’t bullshit us with your stories about how difficult music industry is, how stressful tours are or how hard being a musician in your country is. Italy is one of the least ‘generous’ countries to musicians and artists. We did our first US tour driving a car ourselves for thirty gigs, holding the equipment on our legs, with no sleep and risking our own lives. As well as many other bands have always done.

Everything we have now comes from sweat and sacrifice, honesty and commitment, no whining or begging involved.

We want to thank our friends all over the world, our management, our label for the support and respect they’ve been showing us throughout our career.

Fleshgod Apocalypse Part Ways With Tommaso Riccardi

Fleshgod Apocalypse have parted ways with vocalist/guitarist Tommaso Riccardi. The split came about due to “personal reasons.”

The band commented:

“Hello friends,

there’s no easy way to say this, so we’ll go straight to the point:

about a couple of months ago, our singer Tommaso left the band for personal reasons. Our separation wasn’t painless, but everybody thought this was the best solution.

Therefore we sat down and tried to figure out all possible scenarios for a band that suddenly loses its frontman. The will to go on and continue this journey was stronger than everything else.

Since the message of Fleshgod Apocalypse goes beyond music itself, we couldn’t let someone who wasn’t there since the beginning be its spokesman. So the only way to go on was to take a look back at our roots: we decided that Francesco Paoli, our drummer, songwriter, founder and first frontman of the band, was the natural choice for this delicate and also challenging position.

Our mastermind has finally taken back his originary role as lead vocalist and guitarist.

From now on, besides our precious soprano singer Veronica Bordacchini, we’ll have the honour to share the stage with the Italian metal legend David Folchitto (Stormlord, Prophilax) on drums together with the phenomenal Fabio Bartoletti (Deceptionist) on lead guitar. Fleshgod Apocalypse are more focused and determined than ever.

Expect new epic live experiences and, most likely, the darkest and heaviest Fleshgod Apocalypse album that we’ve ever written. We can’t wait to start this new, exciting chapter of our career.

Our friends in South America will be the first ones to witness the new course of the band, with Francesco as our frontman. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

Fleshgod Apocalypse Premiere “Cold As Perfection” Music Video

Fleshgod Apocalypse have premiered a new video for their new song “Cold As Perfection,” via Metal Hammer. This song will be on the band’s new album, King, which will be released on February 5.

Salvatore Perrone issued the following statement:

“The song is about ageing and the sad consciousness of losing physical and mental integrity with the passing of time. While we waste our life in the continuous research of perfection, which we know will never be reached, we deliberately sacrifice the splendour of our existence that is composed by an infinite number of imperfect details.

We lose ourselves, we lose the time that nature offered us for free and we offend those not lucky enough to have as much as we have. It’s scary because it’s not an invented story, it’s reality and it’s inexorable.”
