Drummer Mike Caputo Exits Rings Of Saturn, Joins Brand Of Sacrifice

Mike Caputo has announced his departure from Rings Of Saturn. The drummer is leaving the band to join Brand Of Sacrifice.

Rings Of Saturn commented:

“Congratulations to @mikecaputodrums in joining our friends in @brandofsacrificemetal as a full-time member 🎉 Mike is an absolutely amazing drummer, huge thanks goes out to him for everything ❤

This means that Rings of Saturn is looking for a new drummer to play our European festivals currently booked in August 2022. We will be playing these with our original vocalist, and voice of Embryonic Anomaly, Peter Pawlak. We also have US tour plans beforehand in the summer.

We are preferably looking for a US based drummer, over 21, with touring experience, who can play the full Embryonic Anomaly album, and has all the requirements to travel abroad for the Euro fests.”

Caputo added:

“Hey everyone! I’d like to announce that after playing with Rings of Saturn since 2018 I’ve decided it’s time to step down from the band and shift my focus a bit. An opportunity came up for me that I would like to take but might consistently conflict with Rings‘ schedule. I have decided to take this opportunity that was presented to me. But as to not hinder Rings, who deserves someone who can focus on them full-time, I feel it’s best for me to step away.

I want to thank Lucas for bringing me on and trusting me to do justice to those insane drum parts live on the road, as well as the great opportunities this band has given me. Everyone I have played with during my time in Rings have been and still are good friends to me and I wish them the best. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the new instrumental material Lucas and Joel will be putting out soon!

As for where I’m going…some of you may know I’ve been doing some tours with Brand of Sacrifice recently, and they have graciously asked me to join them full-time. I’m super excited for everything that we have planned in the near future!

Although I didn’t have the opportunity to play on any Rings releases, I also want to thank all the Rings’ fans for being so accepting and supportive of me over the years with the band, and I hope to see you guys and gals at future shows!

Wishing Rings much luck on their new endeavors and looking forward to potentially sharing the bill with them on some shows in the future!

Brand Of Sacrifice Release New Version Of “Lifeblood” Featuring Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos

Brand Of Sacrifice have teamed up with Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos for a new version of their song “Lifeblood.“ The band commented:

“We’re super excited to put out the title track of our record with one of our favorite vocalists and good friends in the scene. We knew from the get-go that having Will do his thing on ‘Lifeblood‘ would turn out to be a total banger – his style definitely elevates his parts and adds a totally new and unique energy to the song. Given how close we are to Lorna Shore, and seeing their recent success off the back of their new EP, we knew this one was going to be special.”

Brand Of Sacrifice Premiere Short Film For New Song “Enemy” Featuring Underoath’s Spencer Chamberlain

Brand Of Sacrifice have teamed up with Underoath’s Spencer Chamberlain for a new song titled “Enemy.” The track is accompanied by a new short film, which you can watch below. A limited edition 7″ featuring the single and a special manga comic will also be released on December 17. Pre-orders are available HERE.

Micheal Leo Valeri commented:

“We wrote ‘Enemy‘ as a standalone release, expanding on some of the more melodic and metalcore moments on songs like ‘Animal,’ ‘Foe Of The Inhuman‘ and ‘Vengeance.’ The possibility of getting Spencer Chamberlain on guest vocals was electrifying.

We were already excited about the song, but his ability to elicit emotion by leading into his screams with tormented talking brought it to the next level. He perfectly complemented our goal on the song. We’re also releasing two remixes of ‘Lifeblood‘ songs, like full-on electronic bangers that retain the musical motifs but present them as entirely different styles and moods. We’re beyond proud that our music can transcend boundaries like that.”

Kyle Anderson also added the following about the comic:

“It’s no secret that we have drawn many of our lyrical themes—and even our name—from Berserk, the dark manga masterpiece by Kentaro Miura (RIP). As we move further away from Berserk as a direct reference point, we wanted to expand on the lore on our album art in the best possible format: manga. We’re very proud to expand the Brand Of Sacrifice universe and hope our fans like it too, which would allow us to continue telling our own story.”

Brand Of Sacrifice Tease Short Film For New Single “Enemy” Featuring Underoath’s Spencer Chamberlain

Brand Of Sacrifice have shared a teaser for their new song and short film “Enemy.” That track features Underoath’s Spencer Chamberlain and the full video for it will debut on August 5.

Brand Of Sacrifice Premiere Animated Video For “Altered Eyes”

Brand Of Sacrifice have premiered an animated video for their new song “Altered Eyes.” This track is from the band’s new album “Lifeblood,” which will be released on March 5.

The group commented:

“We’re excited to present the last single before ‘Lifeblood‘ drops March 5. ‘Altered Eyes‘ is something of a spiritual successor to ‘Charlotte,’ a breakout success from our last album that took off way more than we anticipated. Funnily enough, both come in at track four on their respective album, but it’s more about the vibe; both tracks rock and groove as much as they riff and gut. Speaking of, much like most of ‘Lifeblood‘, this track is based on ‘Berserk‘ protagonist Guts, in this case the torment he felt watching his love interest lose her sanity amidst hellish abuse. ‘Altered Eyes‘ paints that hell with fiery Doom-scapes.

We initially weren’t even planning a video for this track—how could we even dream of measuring up to the epic that is ‘Animal‘? Upon seeing Tony Simone’s work for his own band, Abiotic, we knew we had to do it. The CGI animation puts it in an entirely different realm than what we’ve done with Joey Durango. It’s similarly intense, but lives entirely in its own world and on its own two feet.”

Brand Of Sacrifice Premiere “Animal” Video

Brand Of Sacrifice have premiered a new video for their new song “Animal.” This track is from the band’s new album “Lifeblood,” which will be released on March 5.

The group commented:

“We knew ‘Animal‘ was THE single on ‘Lifeblood‘ as soon as we finished it. We’ve warmed our fans up through ‘Demon King‘ and the title track, and this has the biggest hook on the whole album. A choir carries the chorus to previously unreached territory.”

“Of course, we had to do the song justice with a video of the highest quality, so we teamed up with an amazing cast and crew led by director Joey Durango. The video is epic and cinematic, two qualities we try to evoke through our music, here heightened by the timeless visuals and stories of the warrior.”

Brand Of Sacrifice Premiere New Song “Lifeblood”

Brand Of Sacrifice have shared the title track of their new album “Lifeblood.” That effort will be released on March 5. The group commented:

“‘Demon King‘ was by far the biggest Brand Of Sacrifice release yet. The single got on tons of playlists, some play on Sirius XM Liquid Metal, countless reaction videos and more… To say our expectations were surpassed is an understatement and the support is insane! That song has a bounce and groove that’s indicative of some of the catchier moments on ‘Lifeblood‘, which we hone in on in the title track that closes out the album’s 12 tracks. The hook is just on another level, and the build up to the climactic ending somehow feels like the perfect conclusion to the album, yet also the impetus to click replay. We can’t wait to show you what’s in store!”

Brand Of Sacrifice Premiere “Demon King” Video

Brand Of Sacrifice have premiered a new video for their new song “Demon King.” This track will appear on the band’s new album “Lifeblood.” That effort will be released on March 5 and it will feature various guests including members of I Prevail, Emmure, Shadow Of Intent, Traitors, and Viscera. Brand Of Sacrifice commented:

“We’re SO excited to release ‘Demon King,’ the first taste of our second LP Lifeblood. The song is one of the album’s faster and heavier ones, so we made a similarly intense video. This time around we wanted to immerse our listeners in the album’s story, so we did exactly that; you can experience the album cover of ‘Lifeblood‘—itself a collision of the art from God Hand and The Interstice—in 360 VR. We made an album that is sonically a complete experience, so we want to make the whole campaign as immersive as possible. The reign begins…”
