  • Buckcherry Planning To Release New Album In 2027

During a recent interview Pod Scum, Buckcherry guitarist Stevie D. discussed the band’s new album plans. According to him, the group will release a follow-up to “Roar Like Thunder” in 2027.

    Stevie said the following:

“I think if you look historically, or at least in the last 10 years, we came out with ‘Warpaint’, and then two years later, or two and a half years later, we came out with the ‘Hellbound’. And that’s our cycle — two and a half, three years [later], a new album will come out. And the touring will last a year and a half. And then the writing cycle, then recording, and then they’re setting up the album. So, it’s been that way since — we’re pretty consistent. So at the end of this year will be the end of the touring cycle for this last album. And then we’re gonna go into the studio with [songwriter and producer] Marti [Frederiksen], start writing around September, October, and then release a new record in the spring [or] summer [of 2027].”

  • Hammok Premiere “Gooning For Free” Music Video

Hammok have premiered a new video for their new song “Gooning For Free.” This track is from their new album, “When Does This Place Become Our Scene,” which will be released on June 5. The group said the following about the single:

“‘Gooning For Free’ is about online hustling and the culture of accepted ‘selling out.’ It is a tongue-in-cheek acknowledgment that these days we are all expected to be a part of this. This need to be desired and to always be promoting to sell plays a huge part in society. This sentiment is a big part of the song.”

  • Matt Zane Shares Previously Unreleased Studio Footage Of The Late Wayne Static

As previously reported, Matt Zane is currently working on an unauthorized documentary focusing on Wayne Static (Static-X) and Tera Wray. The self-funded film, which did not receive approval from the late married couple’s families, is also expected to feature previously unreleased music from Static with re-recorded guest vocals. The latest preview of the project comes in the form of previously unreleased studio footage. That clip finds Static working on a “Wisconsin Death Trip” b-side track titled “Down.”

    Zane issued a press release:

“Fans of industrial metal and Static-X are in for a once-in-a-lifetime glimpse into the genius of the late Wayne Static. Newly unearthed footage shows the frontman delivering the track “Down” in the studio, captured in its purest form: completely isolated vocals, unfiltered, and performed in a single, flawless take.

Shot during the original sessions for Static-X’s breakout debut “Wisconsin Death Trip,” the video presents Wayne Static standing alone in the vocal booth, giving a performance with no effects, no amplification, and no backing tracks. Every note, every growl, every scream is raw and untouched — a rare window into the recording process that shaped one of industrial metal’s defining albums.

The footage was discovered by director Matt Zane while sifting through archival material for his controversial documentary on Wayne Static and Tera Wray. The project has drawn legal pushback from the estates and band members, including cease-and-desist orders, but Zane continues to uncover unseen recordings and behind-the-scenes moments from Static’s career.

“This is really something to see and hear,” Zane commented. “Zero effects, not even any amplification — just Wayne singing raw right in front of you, hitting all the highs and lows. One take, all the way through. No auto-tune, no music to hide anything. It really shows how unique, special, and powerful he was as a vocalist.”

The footage provides an intimate, never-before-seen look at the making of “Wisconsin Death Trip,” highlighting Wayne Static’s extraordinary talent and stage presence even in the quiet confines of a studio booth.”

    The band commented:

“We are proud to announce the 10th anniversary edition of ‘Devoid of Light,’ available in various physical formats. The album has been remastered by Arthur Rizk (who previously handled mixing and mastering for UADA’s sophomore album ‘Cult of a Dying Sun’ and also mastering for the acoustic album ‘Interwoven’) and is presented here in an expanded form, featuring previously unseen photography by Peter Beste, rare archival material, expanded liner notes, and an exclusive bonus track.”

In other news, the physical copies of UADA’s “Interwoven” EP have been delayed until late May. The band added the following about that:

“Unfortunately, there’s been a major issue at the pressing plant, which will cause a significant delay. At the moment, we estimate the album release and shipments will take place in late May.

We know delays are frustrating, especially if you’ve already pre-ordered, and really appreciate your patience. We’re in contact with the plant and doing everything we can to get the records done for the re-scheduled timeframe.

Although the physical release date has been pushed back, we will still honor releasing the full album stream on the original planned release date of April 10th, for your listening (dis)pleasure.

Thanks for your support and understanding.”
