Underoath Premiere New Song “Numb”

Underoath have premiered a new song titled “Numb.” This track is from the band’s new album “Voyeurist,” which will be released on January 14. Tim McTague commented:

“‘Numb‘ feels like a classic ‘They’re Only Chasing Safety‘ song done with adult minds and ideas. It’s the only chorus on the whole album that is just Aaron singing, which was a massive part of our DNA as a band in the beginning. It’s rad to hear it come full circle.”

Underoath To Perform New Album “Voyeurist” In Full During December Livestream Show

Underoath will be performing their new album “Voyeurist“ (out January 14) in full during a livestream concert on December 3. Tickets for the virtual event can be found at momenthouse.com.

The band commented:

“On December 3rd, we will be presenting a special performance of our new album Voyeurist in its entirety via the Digital Ghost cinematic concert, in partnership with Moment House. Since the album was delayed until Jan 14, 2022, we want to give you the opportunity to see and hear the new album performed long before its release on January 14 and before our tour in February.

Digital Ghost offers you a chance to be part of a communal moment built around Voyeurist in a way that nobody has experienced before. When we started conceptualizing Digital Ghost, we knew that we wanted to do something different than a traditional live stream. We did three of them and, coming back a year after Observatory, we knew we didn’t want to just repeat the cycle.

This is unlike anything we’ve done before.
Come along for the ride.

Underoath Premiere New Song “Cycle” Featuring Ghostemane

Underoath have premiered a new song titled “Cycle.” This track features Ghostemane and it will appear on the band’s new album “Voyeurist,” which is set to be released on January 14.

Tim McTague commented:

“When we were writing ‘Cycle’, I knew that I wanted to have a feature on the bridge. I wanted something abstract, and ideally in the hip-hop genre. I heard a cadence that wasn’t natural to our band. Ghostemane came up in convo, and we all loved the idea. I had been listening to him for a minute, and the connection between Underoath / Lil Peep put me on to the south Florida squad like Pouya, Ghostemane and Lil Peep (RIP). We tried to get a hold of him for weeks, And one day Aaron called me and said that Ghostemane randomly Instagramed him to tell him that he appreciated what we do, and Aaron replied back that we were trying to get a hold of him to be on a track on the new album. The floodgates opened, all the managers and artists started connecting and I sent his manager the song, and a week or so later we got what was stated as ‘I did a ton and threw the sink at it, let me know your thoughts.’ We listened to the first thing he sent, and just said ‘that is it.’ I don’t think any of us knew what we were looking for in the feature, but when I heard the take, lyrics and energy we were like ‘oh shit. This is perfect.'”

Spencer Chamberlain added:

“Every time I hear the track now, it time warps me right to how I was feeling when we wrote those lyrics and what we were going through at the time. The back and forth on the third chorus transports me back to when we wrote the lyrics. I hope that we’ll have the chance to perform it together live one day.”

Underoath Premiere New Song “Pneumonia”

Underoath have premiered a new song titled “Pneumonia.” This track is from the band’s new album “Voyeurist,” which will be released on January 14.

Guitarist Tim McTague commented:

“We started writing the song, randomly, on the anniversary of my dad’s death, and to release it exactly a year from that day is wild. I was in a funk and wanted to make something sad but felt drained. The song ended up becoming an audible journey of death and is called ‘Pneumonia‘ because that is what was listed on my dad’s death certificate. It’s also the only song in the history of the band that Spencer and Aaron sat someone down and asked them (me) to help write some of the lyrics, which was truly an honor.”

Underoath Premiere New Song “Hallelujah”

Underoath have premiered a new song titled “Hallelujah.” This track is from the band’s new album “Voyeurist,” which will be released on January 14.

Tim McTague said the following about the new song:

“I think the song is one of the more powerful songs on the album for a myriad of reasons, but sharing a night of beers and stories with a handful of the people you love, unpacking a ton of heady concepts and recording a choir really put an exclamation point on the song for me. It’s dark, beautiful, haunting and heavy all at the same time. That’s what Underoath does best in my opinion.”

He also added the following about the album, which was self-produced:

“I’ve always wanted to record our own album. I think we just needed to get into a headspace personally that would allow criticism and critique to land in a productive and constructive way. We grew so much in real time and I think the record speaks to that growth and collaboration. I haven’t ever felt this attached to a project in my life.”
