Gabriel Mangold (Enterprise Earth) Shares Acoustic Covers Of Rings Of Saturn‘s “Mental Prolapse” & Make Them Suffer‘s “Erase Me“

Enterprise Earth guitarist Gabriel Mangold has shared some acoustic covers of Rings Of Saturn‘s “Mental Prolapse” and Make Them Suffer‘s “Erase Me.“ You can check those out below:

Mangold commented:

“The Rings Of Saturn video was shot in Taos, New Mexico at Hotel Luna Mystica. It’s a vintage trailer hotel and campground that I currently work at and reside with my tiny home trailer.

The Make Them Suffer video was filmed in the Carson National Forest in Tres Piedras, New Mexico which is about forty-five minutes northwest of Taos. Northern New Mexico is extensively beautiful and I’m fortunate to be living here once again. Having resided in Taos on two separate occasions, I’m familiar with the area and felt that these locations would be perfect for each video, respectively.

The Ring’s song was a result of being on back to back tours with them and not being able to get the extremely catchy chorus melody from ‘Mental Prolapse‘ out of my head. Make Them Suffer had also just released that killer track and the melodies and lyrics seemed to suit themselves very well for an acoustic rendition.

Both of these bands are also my good friends so I’m sure that had something to do with my decisions as well! Both songs also have great melodies which make translating to acoustic quite enjoyable.”

“Hey guys! Unfortunately, i am a dumb dumb and put Jason Richardson’s part over the wrong backing in the final file for the big shred collab video this year. I know I know.. you’d think I’d have my act together by now… 🙄 WELL, here is what he actually intended for you all to hear haha merry Christmas everyone! Rings Of Saturn’s Lucas Mann Responds To Accusations Of Miming Guitar Parts (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Jared Dines has now shared a new video in which he apologizes to Lucas Mann for his comments:

Original Story:

Rings Of Saturn’s Lucas Mann has shared a new video in which he responds to accusations of fake guitar playing, including recent comments made by YouTuber Jared Dines. You can watch that below. Mann also issued the following statement:

“All Guitar Playing in this video is supplemented by the raw DI tracks at the end of the video that I welcome anyone to inspect. Live audio from our shows recorded direct from the console is featured debunking the “miming live” argument entirely. An explanation of why there was confusion upon the popular accusations and arguments is given, along with more supporting evidence such as a fan video. Call out Culture and Jared Dines is discussed as well. I am not trying to attack anyone with this, and only want positivity for everyone involved, however I feel my side needs to be heard because it has overwhemingly been suppressed. Hopefully this video clears everything up.”

Rings Of Saturn Share Guitar Playthrough Video For New Song “Mental Prolapse”

Rings Of Saturn have shared a guitar playthrough video for their new song “Mental Prolapse.” This track is from the band’s new album “Gidim,” which will be released on October 25.

We Are The End Accuse Rings Of Saturn’s Lucas Mann Of Stealing Riffs

We Are The End have accused Lucas Mann of plagiarism, saying he used the band’s riffs for Rings Of Saturn’s new song “The Husk.“ Mann and former Rings Of Saturn guitarist Miles Dimitri Baker were both involved with We Are The End for a short time in 2014 and the band’s guitarist Brandyn Love claims to have showed Mann a number riffs he was working on. It seems We Are The End never officially released songs with the riffs in question, but there are some pre-production demos that have been shared for comparison in the below YouTube video:

We Are The End commented:

“Everyone please be sure to congratulate Lucas Mann on his new song “THE HUSK” that he stole from us & put on the new Rings of Saturn album.
Lucas you’re a bitch!!!

But it brings us joy to be such an influence.

The song you stole is light years ahead of what we taught you back in 2014 when you & Miles Dimitri Baker were apart of our project. We’re not even mad just disappointed that a musician of your caliber would be so desperate & ruin our gold with your turd video game noise.”

The group have also said a number of other things on social media and have even shared a message Baker sent them regarding “The Husk.” It’s worth noting that Baker previously mentioned that he was not getting proper credit for songs he wrote before him and Aaron Stechauner exited Rings Of Saturn back in May 2018.

“The Husk” will appear on Rings Of Saturn‘s new album “Gidim“ (out October 25).
