  • Sanguisugabogg Part Ways With Guitarist Cedirk Davis

Sanguisugabogg have parted ways with guitarist Cedirk Davis. According to the band, the decision was “mutual.”

    The group commented:

“Informing you that we have mutually decided to part ways with one of our long standing guitarists and friend Cedrik Davis. Ced leaves the band with an outstanding legacy that lasts almost 6 of the 7 years as a band. His contributions in our band will always be honored and forever be unnoticed as well as all the laughs and memories we have made along the way. We wish Cedrik the very best in his life, for his child and all his future endeavors.

On our current tour we will be performing our set with the same lineup we had used while in Europe. Our drummer, producer and founding member Cody Davidson will be holding it down on guitar alongside Drew Arnold and we have Eric Morotti hammering away on drums. This lineup is tight and sounds insane live so you are in for a treat if you catch us out!”

  • Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor: “I Never Said We Were Intentionally Stopping”

As previously reported, Trent Reznor recently made headlines after suggesting that Nine Inch Nails may stop touring after their current run. However, he has since clarified his comments, claiming he “never said [they] were intentionally stopping.”

Reznor said the following during the band’s March 16 show in Sacramento, CA:

“As some of you may know, this is the last show of the tour. And to be clear, I think I said something the other day that then got misconstrued into something that is not intentionally necessarily true. What I said was, this is the last show of this tour, and we don’t have any shows booked, and we don’t have any plans to book any shows any time in the future so far. That doesn’t mean we may not tour again.

We may tour again. It won’t be next month, it won’t be this year. I never said we were intentionally stopping, and I never meant that. But, to be truthful, we didn’t tour for a while before this tour because, frankly, I didn’t know if we could do it well, and if it still mattered, and if really feel like we had something to say. And the combination of this band, and this crew, and a lot of hard work, and we put on a show that I’m really fucking proud of. I thank you for coming and attending. I appreciate it. It makes us all feel like we have a fucking purpose.

What we’re going to do is work on some new music, and make some new shit. And if we feel inspired, and if we feel we can beat this [show], we’ll see you again. And I hope to see you again, and I hope you come see us if we do.”

  • High Parasite Premiere New Song “Drag Me Under”

High Parasite, the “death pop” project fronted by former My Dying Bride singer Aaron Stainthorpe, have premiered a new song titled “Drag Me Under.” The track was recorded during the “Forever We Burn” sessions and it can be found below. Bassist/vocalist Danny “Tombs” Lambert commented:

“We all loved this song when we recorded it for our first album, but it was a little different to the other tracks, with more of a Rammstein kind of vibe. So we decided to hold it back… until this moment. We’ve already started recording our second studio album. We’re looking to the future, so now ‘Drag Me Under’ makes perfect sense, a glimpse into what’s to come.”

  • Samael Premiere “Hidden Empire” Music Video

Samael have premiered a new video for their new song “Hidden Empire.” You can check that out below. A 12″ maxi single vinyl pressing featuring the new track and “Black Matter Manifesto” will be released on April 24. The group commented:

“Hidden in plain sight, right in front of us, everywhere and at all times. We no longer see what we are used to seeing, it is our reality, a reality to which we willingly submit in order to lead a painless but meaningless existence. Musically, the beginning of the song is somewhat reminiscent of SAMAEL’s classic track ‘My Saviour,’ but it quickly evolves into something more unusual for the band. It is a heavy song with an industrial touch that maintains high tension from start to finish.”

  • Fit For An Autopsy Premiere New Song “The Wretch”

Fit For An Autopsy have premiered a new song titled “The Wretch.” You can check that out below. Guitarist Will Putney had the following to say about the single:

“True to our general nature, ‘The Wretch’ is another relatively pessimistic and grim glimpse into our worldly outlook. In a time where nothing seems to be getting any better at home or abroad, we find there can always be a moment of comfort in the thought of burning it all down. We hope this song is that temporary oasis for you as well. Thank you for listening.”
