  • Poison The Well’s Jeffrey Moreira: “We’ve Already Talked About Writing More Songs”

    Poison The Well will be releasing a new album, titled “Peace In Place,” on March 20. However, it appears that may not be the only new music from the band.

    Vocalist Jeffrey Moreira told Kerrang! the following:

    “We’re writing to fulfil the things we love in this band. If any of us wanted to do anything different, we’d start another band. Whether that’s made for ‘a classic’ is something that only time will tell. On ‘The Opposite Of December…‘, we were just trying to get people to sing along. On ‘You Come Before You‘, we wanted to have the heaviest record on a major label. Here we wanted an album that tastefully and respectfully understands what Poison The Well is – and an acknowledgement that Jeffrey likes a bunch of heavy shit.

    Beyond that? We’ve already talked about writing more songs. And more than the songs themselves, I think it’s a good sign that we’re already talking about the next record. Seeing the outcome of our labours has been a big motivator. It hasn’t been easy. There were a bunch of blockades. But having that finished vinyl in your hands gives you such a massive high. So I guess now we’ll just keep making music until we don’t want to anymore – or until there’s no-one left to listen…”

  • Marilyn Manson, Sully Erna, Etc. To Guest On New Billy Morrison Album “Hollow”

    Billy Morrison (Billy Idol, etc.) has announced a new solo album titled “Hollow.” The guest-filled record is expected to be released in August.

It’s on the same label (TLG | ZOID | Virgin Music Group), with the same crew (Barry Pointer mixing the record, Dave Donnelly mastering and all art / photography by Jane Stuart) and I’m excited to share this body of work with the world.

    The guests on this record are at the core of the collaborative spirit that I try to put in the center of these records. Every single person I worked with stepped up, brought their A game and helped me produce an album that crosses genres, features some really diverse songwriting, and yet has a truly cohesive, and powerful sound. Ultimately, I am just grateful to everyone involved for allowing me to do this again.”

  • Sharon Osbourne On 2027 Ozzfest: “We Wanna Do Two Days In Aston Villa And Then Come To America”

    During a new episode of “The Osbournes” podcast, Sharon Osbourne offered more details on the 2027 Ozzfest. According to her, the event will hit the Aston Villa Football Club in Birmingham, England for two days before heading to North America.

    Sharon said the following:

    “We wanna do two days in Aston Villa and then come to America. And we wanna hear from everyone where we should go in America. And also we’ve gotta find a lot of young, new talent, because that’s what [Ozzy] would want.”

    Jack Osbourne went on to say the festival will have two Birmingham dates and “two days in North America somewhere.” Sharon added:

    “Yeah. And then see how it does. And then if people want it, we’ll be there [in the] following years.”

    Sharon also revealed tentative plans for a 2028 touring incarnation if there’s a demand for it.

    She later reflected on past Ozzfests:

    “It was more fun. When you go to other festivals, everybody’s so uptight. But that was always the thing about our festival. There was never anybody jockeying for position or thought they were better than anyone else. It was a summer camp.”

  • Godflesh’s Justin K. Broadrick Retires From Touring Following Recent Abdominal Surgery

    Godflesh’s Justin K. Broadrick has revealed that he has retired from touring. This news comes after he recently underwent abdominal surgery.

    Broadrick said the following:

    “I’ve dreaded sharing this news, partly due to the threat of insensitive and/or negative comments, combined simply with the general anxiety of it all, I am also exhausted, but I’ve left comments on.

    So, 3 weeks ago I had significant open abdominal surgery for a inguinal hernia that was close
    to an emergency.

    I am still in shock from the process, and as someone with diagnosed Autism and C-PTSD,
    open surgery is absolutely debilitating, not that it is easier for anyone of course.

    I had a huge hernia, and for it to be repaired, I had to endure a 6 inch incision in my groin.

    This unfortunately was not keyhole surgery.

    I have a very weak abdominal wall, which at being 57 yrs old this year, is not going to improve.

    If I continue to perform and shout/scream as I do with Godflesh, then I am at high risk for
    more hernias, and blowing out my abdominal wall entirely.

    Godflesh live ended the day of my surgery, and upon the surgeon making this statement.

    I am now just about walking freely, but with little pace, albeit extremely carefully.

    The full healing process is approximately 6 months.

    Fortunately, my other projects do not require screaming/shouting nor a physically demanding
    performance; jesu and JK FLESH shows remain.

    I have been mixing, what will be the penultimate GODFLESH album – ‘DECAY’, for
    release on Relapse in hopefully July/Aug, mixes are being completed imminently.

    The album is basically done.

    I’ve had the final GODFLESH studio album written, for almost a year and half now, that will
    be recorded and completed late 2026.

    After that there will continue to be GODFLESH dub albums, live albums, and so on,
    but no new studio releases nor performances.

    In the near future, a new solo project will emerge, further exploring the parameters
    of heavy/ugly music, featuring my guitars and electronics, and of course vocals, but
    NOT shouted vocals!

    There will be an official announcement via my agency/management regarding this
    ASAP.

  • Iron Maiden Reschedule Los Angeles Concert Due To College Football Game

    Iron Maiden’s September 26 show with Megadeth and Anthrax at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, CA has been postponed due to a college football game. The concert will now be held on September 27.

    The following statement was issued:

    “Live Nation regret to announce that Iron Maiden‘s second show in LA on September 26 has had to be rescheduled to September 27.

    We regret to inform fans that due to restrictions on simultaneous events at Exposition Park, we have been forced to move the Iron Maiden show scheduled for Saturday, September 26 at BMO Stadium to Sunday, September 27. This is specifically due to the USC Trojans vs Oregon Ducks college football game taking place at the neighbouring 100,000 capacity Memorial Coliseum stadium.

    This is an unprecedented circumstance and is unfortunately entirely outside of either our or the band’s control. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding as we comply with venue and city regulations.

    The Friday, September 25 performance at BMO Stadium remains unchanged.
    All tickets purchased for Saturday, September 26 will be honored for the rescheduled show on Sunday, September 27. Emails have been sent to ticket holders with further details.

    We are extremely sorry for the disruption and thank you for your continued support.”
