• Graveyard Part Ways With Guitarist Jonatan Ramm

Graveyard have parted ways with guitarist Jonatan Ramm. Despite this, he says “music will remain a central part of [his] life.”

    The band commented:

“Hey everyone, we have some news to share.

Jonatan has decided to leave Graveyard.

We’ve shared so many years, experiences and memories together, and while we’re saddened by his decision, we fully respect it and wish him nothing but the very best in whatever comes next for him.

As one chapter comes to a close, another begins. Our new album is on its way and we’re looking forward to getting back on the road and seeing you all again soon!

Graveyard will keep moving forward, and we’re incredibly grateful for your continued love and support. We’ll see you out there!

    / Joakim, Truls & Oskar”

    Ramm added:

“After nearly 20 years with Graveyard, I have decided that it is time for me to leave the band.

Twenty years is a long time. Long enough for a band to become more than music. It becomes a way of life, a shared language, and a huge part of your identity. For that reason, this has been one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made.

I am incredibly proud of what we built together and of the music we created over the years. What started as a handful of ideas and ambitions grew into something that reached people all over the world, and I will always be grateful to have been part of that journey.

But time changes everything. People change. Priorities change. And sometimes the things that once held a group together begin to pull in different directions.

For some time now, I have felt a growing need to reconnect with what music means to me personally — the creativity, freedom, and sense of purpose that inspired me in the first place. Stepping away feels like the right decision, both as a musician and as a person.

My focus now will be on my family, my children, and on finding new ways to create and express myself. Music will remain a central part of my life, and I look forward to following that path wherever it leads.

I sincerely wish the band the very best in the future.

And to all of you who listened, came to the shows, sang along, traveled far, bought records, and supported us through all these years — thank you. It’s hard to put into words what it means to know that our music became a part of your lives.

Your energy, love, and support carried us farther than we ever could have imagined.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you for everything.

    — Jonatan LaRocca Ramm”

  • Moonspell Premiere New Song “The Great Wolf In The Sky”

Moonspell have premiered a lyric video for their new song “The Great Wolf In The Sky.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Far From God,” which will be released on July 3. Frontman Fernando Ribeiro said the following about the single:

“It’s a shameless ode to the great gig in the sky and also a return for us to a theme that is very dear to us: Wolves. This is one of my favorite songs ever for Moonspell, the keyboards sound like a melancholic wolf howling throughout the progress of the song into its epic chorus, that I feel so liberating, like if one took flight to the stars and met that wolf up there. It’s one of the first songs that was written for this album and it has been gently nurtured for over 3 years or so. It tells the story of Moonspell, of the wolves who crossed our paths and went away from the pack, due to life circumstances of the inevitability of death. It bridges the many times of Moonspell, past, present, and future and it has the shape of a new anthem that we do hope our fans embrace. It’s also dedicated to a fan and a friend who, unfortunately, passed away before he could hear our new album.”
