Vexes Premiere “Energy Vampire(s)” Video

Vexes have premiered a new video for their new song “Energy Vampire(s).” This track is from the band’s new double album, “Imagine What We Could Destroy /// If Only Given Time,” which will be released on June 17. Guitarist John Klagholz commented:

“‘Energy Vampire(s)‘ is a song that’s kind of written from the perspective of someone that has devolved into a complete state of self-pity and self-loathing, examples of which we see unfortunately on a daily basis in the world of online interactions and social media. Most people have become desensitized to these feelings because of their widespread prevalence and because of that, often times we’re acting purely as ‘voyeurs’ and we miss the real message behind the words and the cry for help that is contained within.”

Vexes Premiere New Song “The Dream Disease”

Vexes have premiered a new song titled “The Dream Disease.” This track is from the band’s new double album, “Imagine What We Could Destroy /// If Only Given Time,” which will be released on June 17.

Guitarist John Klagholz commented:

“‘The Dream Disease‘ is about being too afraid to chase a dream or a desire that you’ve had, only to watch the moment or the opportunity pass you by and then feeling the regret and the hollowness about your choice not to pursue it for the rest of time.

We all live with the fear of rejection or feeling like we’re insufficient in certain ways, but to a casual observer things are not always as bad as they seem. The song can be interpreted as someone who from the outside looking in is trying to help ease those fears and offer some kind of encouragement or hope.

Whether we choose to accept that offering is the crux of the matter.”

Vexes Premiere New Song “Low Choices”

Vexes have premiered a new song titled “Low Choices.” This track is from the band’s new double album, “Imagine What We Could Destroy /// If Only Given Time,” which will be released on June 17. Guitarist John Klagholz commented:

“‘Low Choices‘ is about the give and take we all have within ourselves mentally, trying to cope with everyday issues, and sometimes taking things that might be a minor issue and blowing them out of proportion. Sometimes we struggle to deal with day to day stresses and rationalize our handling of them, and this song is a way of coming to grips with that notion and saying to yourself “maybe things aren’t great right now, and that’s ok… maybe things won’t get better, and maybe that’s ok too.”

Vexes Premiere “Beyond The Sinking” Music Video

Vexes have premiered a new video for their new song “Beyond The Sinking.” This track is from the band’s new double album, “Imagine What We Could Destroy /// If Only Given Time,” which will be released on June 17.

Vocalist Charlie Berezansky said the following about the new album:

“Many of the songs deal with today’s obsession with the public eye, seeing and being seen, and the hold that has over all of us, especially with social media and having lost much of the human connection we once had. We have a general disdain for the intrusiveness of these platforms but at the same time understand their importance, however fleeting that may be.”

He also added:

“It seems we are constantly in search of something to fill a hole in our lives, though at the end of the day, we really want that emptiness to return. We’ve always had this desire to share an honesty about the music but also find the ability to shroud that a bit. We thrive in a way on the chaos and uncertainty that surrounds us on a daily basis, and we hope to be able to have some of that feeling come across with this record.”

“‘Plasticine‘ sums up what I love so much about this band. The fusion of something heavy and hypnotic with these sort of ambient ethereal melodies.
