The Raven Age Premiere New Song “No Man’s Land”

The Raven Age have premiered a new song titled “No Man’s Land.” This track is from their new album “Exile,” which will be released on September 17. That effort will feature two new songs along with various reimagined and live tracks.

George Harris said the following about the new song:

“‘No Man’s Land’ is a song reflective of the mental state I was in when everything hit at the start of 2020. The band had a huge couple of years touring wise and had built up so much momentum, the morale in the camp was higher than ever before. Our last gig of 2019 was at the London O2 arena alongside Alter Bridge and Shinedown, so to go from those heights to nothing was devastating for us. We’re at the stage in our careers where we rely on that momentum and buzz to keep us reaching forward and to have the rug pulled from underneath us left us in a state of limbo where we suddenly didn’t know if everything we’d built so far and worked so hard for was all for nothing.”

Matt James also added the following about the new record:

“The concept for ‘Exile’ is something we had been toying with for a while. We had done alternate acoustic style versions of songs before and the response was so positive it made us think about doing a whole album this way! Obviously, The Raven Age is first and foremost a metal band but due to the melodic nature of our songs they can lend themselves to this kind of treatment. We were pleasantly surprised how great so many of the songs sounded stripped back to their bare bones. Each reimagined song has now taken on a new life of its own and gives the listener a completely different perspective from them. The two new tracks ‘Wait For Me’ and ‘No Man’s Land’ were a homage to this project’s concept and we hope it shows people the band’s versatility and different dimensions. ‘Exile’ is a passion project for our fans in between albums and with the current climate of the planet, it gave us the perfect excuse to roll with it!”

The Raven Age Premiere “The Face That Launched A Thousand Ships” Music Video

The Raven Age have premiered a new video for their song “The Face That Launched A Thousand Ships.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Conspiracy.” Guitarist George Harris commented:

“The video for ‘The Face That Launched A Thousand Ships’ was shot whilst on tour in the U.S. The location we chose was in the desert just outside Las Vegas as we thought it would help paint the picture of the story of Helen Of Troy, which is what the song’s written about.”

“We’re so proud of it. It’s definitely keeping within the spirit of the band but we’ve really expanded what we can do and delved into new topics and sounds. A lot of that is to do with what [vocalist] MJ has brought to the band. With him on board we’ve grown enormously from the first album.”

He also added:

“I’ve always been fascinated by the legend of the ravens of the Tower of London. The fact that the collective noun for ravens is a Conspiracy really inspired the album, the title and the artwork around it. In this fantasy world the ravens are actually being held captive at the Tower, they aren’t there of their own accord. Their wings have been clipped and they’re prisoners of the Tower to keep Britain from falling. This record develops the story with all sorts of twists and tangents.”

The Raven Age Premiere “Betrayal Of The Mind” Video

The Raven Age, the band featuring Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris’ son George Harris, have premiered a new video for their new single “Betrayal Of The Mind.” This track is from the group’s new album, which will be released in 2019.

George Harris commented:

“With the ‘Betrayal’ video, the idea coincides with the narrative. The actress represents someone who is stuck inside her own mind, it’s eating her up as she loses the ability to simply get through the day without her dark thoughts taking over. The performance concept, however, was pretty straightforward. We wanted a big space with lots of fire! The plan was to use it in certain sections, but when we saw how cool it looked, we were, like, ‘Nah, just go nuts!!’ I’m pretty sure Jai had no hair left at the end of the shoot, but it was worth it!”

Vocalist Matt James added:

“The ‘Betrayal’ video not only had to look visually appealing but had to be true to the message of the song. It’s hard sometimes to get the balance of simplicity but also portraying a narrative. I think the directors Richard and Adam did a great job with that. It’s a step up in production from the last video, and hope people will relate to the message. The track itself is a big heavy/groove-orientated track which we love playing live as it gets the crowd headbanging. It’s been going down a blast on the amazing shows we’re playing with Tremonti and we can’t wait to be playing it, along with loads of other new material next year when we get the chance to tour with Iron Maiden. That’s a dream come true!”
