Ex-Megadeth Bassist David Ellefson To Launch New Project The Lucid

Former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson is planning to launch a new project called The Lucid on September 8. According to Blabbermouth, that band also features vocalist Vinnie Dombroski (Sponge), guitarist Drew Fortier (ex-Bang Tango), and drummer Mike Heller (Fear Factory). This news comes after Ellefson was fired from Megadeth following accusations of underage grooming and sexual misconduct. Those allegations stemmed from leaked footage that shows him masturbating during a video chat with a young woman. The bassist previously denied the accusations, saying the girl was not underage, and he is now seeking legal action against the leaker of the video.
