Helloween’s “Pumpkins United” lineup, Michael Kiske, Kai Hansen, Andi Deris, Michael Weikath, Sascha Gerstner, Markus Grosskopf, and Daniel Löble, have premiered a new video for their new song “Skyfall.” This track is from the band’s new self-titled album, which will be released on June 18. The group commented:

“THE SINGLE HAS LANDED! The first track off our new album “Helloween” is now available for streaming and in various CD and vinyl formats! Go check it out! We’re so excited to hear your reactions! Written by Kai Hansen, “Skyfall” is a storming more than 7 minute ride into the Helloween universe (and beyond!) The epic track describes an alien landing on earth and a dramatic chase while Michael Kiske, Andi Deris and Kai Hansen duel each other in a breathtaking manner and create a vocal broadband adventure. Produced by Martin Häusler, it is the most elaborate video clip in the history of the band.”

Helloween To Release New Self-Titled Album In June

Helloween’s “Pumpkins United” lineup, Michael Kiske, Kai Hansen, Andi Deris, Michael Weikath, Sascha Gerstner, Markus Grosskopf, and Daniel Löble, have announced that their new self-titled album will be released on June 18. The effort’s first single “Skyfall” will be released on April 2. If you missed it, a teaser for that track can be found HERE.

The band commented:

Löble:

“This record is the coronation of the ‘Pumpkins United’ journey. I have always been fascinated by the different character traits and facets of Helloween’s history. For example, the legendary voices of Michi, Andi and Kai. To enjoy them now together on one record, under one flag, is the ultimate Helloween experience.”

Weikath:

“It is the incomprehensible encounter of seven musicians who are working as friends and even family who have created something that no one would have thought could be possible. It is like awaking from a sleep but still being in an incredible dream.”

Hansen:

“Being in the studio with my old companions after 30 years away was very emotional for me. But at the same time, it was a completely different experience with the ‘new’ boys. The collaboration of different songwriters, each of them strong characters in their own right, has made the album very special. A unique mix which draws from all chapters of the band’s history. Helloween is a big part of my life and I am looking forward to celebrating the songs live for and with our fans!.”

Grosskopf:

“For me, being one of the last ‘survivors’ who played every note from the beginning, it was a fantastic experience and a very emotional process. I think everyone can hear it on this album. I love it.”

Producer Charlie Bauerfeind added:

“After 30 years with different lineups of the band, I really thought I was well prepared for another extreme challenge, but I was wrong. My expectations were highly exceeded in every way with this super-sized package of creativity.”

“Helloween” Track Listing:

01. “Out for the Glory”
02. “Fear of the Fallen”

This never seen before pandemic challenges all of us, and we feel the risk of a contamination is still way too high. Besides, the national regulations of the individual countries make the execution of the tour in its entity very uncertain.

A Helloween concert should be a gathering of all fans having fun, enjoying themselves by celebrating the music we all love. The current situation worldwide does not allow such an unconcerned manner yet. We also decided to shift the release of our yet untitled new album to early next year. The production is on the home stretch: The mixing, by Ronald Prent in New York, is working to the fullest.”

Singer Andi Deris added:

“We are super proud of the result and can ́t wait to celebrate the new songs together with our fans live — but we all need to be a bit more patient. Health comes first!!”

“Looking back to the legendary PUMPKINS UNITED WORLD TOUR – named by the press the “tour of the year” – everyone still has a big smile on his face. Even if CD, DVD and Blu-ray present stunning contemporary documents – nobody wants to imagine that this is all there is…

BRAND NEW ALIVE

‘The Pumpkins United World Tour 2017 – 2019 forged us into a real band – we are all very keen in recording a new studio album now. Artistically it´s extremely thrilling.’

– Andi Deris

The PUMPKINS UNITED lineup entered the HOME studios in Hamburg to work on brand new song material. The same recording console used for albums such as “Master of The Rings”, “Time of the Oath” or “Better than Raw” is now being used to record a new legendary STUDIO ALBUM – analogue and deliberately “back to the roots“. With Michael Kiske, Kai Hansen and Dani Löble drumming on Ingo Schwichtenberg’s original drum kit, one thing is for sure: a stronger Helloween-Vibe won’t be possible! Produced by Charlie Bauerfeind and Dennis Ward, the new & yet untitled album will see the light of day end of August / beginning of September 2020.

The UNITED ALIVE WORLD TOUR PART II is coming up! In September 2020, the legendary UNITED-Lineup will be unleashed again: Stronger, with the new song material and a ton of horsepower – simply the ultimate HELLOWEEN PARTY!”
