Helloween Team Up With Incendium For “Seekers Of The Seven Keys” Comic Book & Action Figures

Helloween have joined forces with Incendium to create a new comic book, titled “Seekers Of The Seven Keys,” and some new action figures. Pre-orders are available HERE.

The following was said in a press release:

“Helloween and Incendium are teaming up for the launch of “Seekers of the Seven Keys”, a supernatural horror-fantasy comic book that explores the iconic cast of characters depicted on album covers from the legendary German heavy metal band, known as the “godfathers of melodic speed metal.” Incendium is also thrilled to announce a line of collectible Helloween action figures inspired by the bands’ cover artwork and lyrical lore: The Keeper Of The Seven Keys, The Witch, and Jack O. Lantern.

Published under Incendium’s music-focused OPUS imprint, “Seekers of the Seven Keys” is crafted by horror masters, writer Joe Harris (“Creepy”, “The X-Files,” “Rockstars”), and artist Axel Medellin (“Hoax Hunters”, “Elephantman”), and features cover artwork by Santi Casas.

In “Seekers of the Seven Keys”, the mystical Seven Keys have been lost, and the Keeper wants them back. But he’s not the only one looking. And when teenage siblings stumble upon the quest, they embark on a 1980s-style science-fiction, fantasy adventure filled with the horror tropes, campy characters, and throwback humor for which the band is known.

HELLOWEEN guitarist Michael Weikath said, “Obviously, Dr. Stein is not the only one who can come up with funny creatures. We are thrilled to see the characters from the HELLOWEEN universe finally come to life! The team of Incendium did a great job and created an exciting new comic adventure. As we say in Dr. Stein: And their time is right!”

Added Llexi Leon, CEO of Incendium: “HELLOWEEN’s offbeat comic, inspired by their epic music, fuses fan-favorite characters with whimsical fantasy—and a healthy dose of heavy metal! As they are one of the great innovators in the genre, it’s been a joy to revisit their catalog, particularly the ‘Seven Keys’ saga, and lay down the groundwork for an all-new narrative that will appeal to long-time fans of the band and Halloween horror aficionados alike!”

The debut of the comic book comes in the wake of the recent release of Helloween’s self-titled album, which has climbed to the top of the charts across the world. The album is reminiscent of all eras of the band’s history and unites their three vocalists Michael Kiske, Andi Deris, and Kai Hansen. The band’s sixteenth studio album was released by Nuclear Blast Tonträger Produktions- und Vertriebs GmbH in June.

The first print edition of “Seekers of the Seven Keys” will be released as a prestige-format limited edition collectible comic book, featuring cardstock covers, specialty foil treatments, glossy pages, and individual numbering.

The first printing of the comic will be limited to 2,000 copies at $19.95 and is available to order from https://incendium.online/collections/Helloween. It is available to order now and ships by October 31, 2021. The Keeper Of The Seven Keys, The Witch, and Jack O. Lantern action figures are also available to pre-order for $29.95, shipping spring 2022.”

“I had so much fun not only writing a song for my voice but also for one of the greatest singers out there. I always have an extremely broad smile on my face when I hear Michi singing my melodies.”

Kiske added:

“The whole process, including the spirit, was just ideal. If I had the feeling that one of the parts would not be really fitting, I asked Andi if he would sing it and vice versa. There was no competition whatsoever — what counted was what is best for the respective song. I am thankful to be (again) a part of this crazy family. I love them all.”

Written by Kai Hansen, “Skyfall” is a storming more than 7 minute ride into the Helloween universe (and beyond!) The epic track describes an alien landing on earth and a dramatic chase while Michael Kiske, Andi Deris and Kai Hansen duel each other in a breathtaking manner and create a vocal broadband adventure. Produced by Martin Häusler, it is the most elaborate video clip in the history of the band.”

Helloween To Release New Self-Titled Album In June

Helloween’s “Pumpkins United” lineup, Michael Kiske, Kai Hansen, Andi Deris, Michael Weikath, Sascha Gerstner, Markus Grosskopf, and Daniel Löble, have announced that their new self-titled album will be released on June 18. The effort’s first single “Skyfall” will be released on April 2. If you missed it, a teaser for that track can be found HERE.

The band commented:

Löble:

“This record is the coronation of the ‘Pumpkins United’ journey. I have always been fascinated by the different character traits and facets of Helloween’s history. For example, the legendary voices of Michi, Andi and Kai. To enjoy them now together on one record, under one flag, is the ultimate Helloween experience.”

Weikath:

“It is the incomprehensible encounter of seven musicians who are working as friends and even family who have created something that no one would have thought could be possible. It is like awaking from a sleep but still being in an incredible dream.”

Hansen:

“Being in the studio with my old companions after 30 years away was very emotional for me. But at the same time, it was a completely different experience with the ‘new’ boys. The collaboration of different songwriters, each of them strong characters in their own right, has made the album very special. A unique mix which draws from all chapters of the band’s history. Helloween is a big part of my life and I am looking forward to celebrating the songs live for and with our fans!.”

Grosskopf:

“For me, being one of the last ‘survivors’ who played every note from the beginning, it was a fantastic experience and a very emotional process. I think everyone can hear it on this album. I love it.”

Producer Charlie Bauerfeind added:

“After 30 years with different lineups of the band, I really thought I was well prepared for another extreme challenge, but I was wrong. My expectations were highly exceeded in every way with this super-sized package of creativity.”

“With a heavy heart we herewith announce that we are forced to postpone our United Alive Part 2 European Tour 2020. Initially scheduled to take place from the end of September until mid of November 2020, we now rescheduled the tour from April to June 2021. Tickets will remain valid.

This never seen before pandemic challenges all of us, and we feel the risk of a contamination is still way too high. Besides, the national regulations of the individual countries make the execution of the tour in its entity very uncertain.

A Helloween concert should be a gathering of all fans having fun, enjoying themselves by celebrating the music we all love. The current situation worldwide does not allow such an unconcerned manner yet. We also decided to shift the release of our yet untitled new album to early next year. The production is on the home stretch: The mixing, by Ronald Prent in New York, is working to the fullest.”

Singer Andi Deris added:

“We are super proud of the result and can ́t wait to celebrate the new songs together with our fans live — but we all need to be a bit more patient. Health comes first!!”
