“I am so damn proud that we are able to present a full blown, up-to-date, live show in these extremely difficult times. A time when real live shows in front of a ‘real’ live audience have ceased to exist.

The show at MHP Arena Ludwigsburg was nothing but epic and really captured the strength and power of the band as a live act and shows the joy we are experiencing together on stage every night, no matter where we play. This is the biggest stage production we ever had and now you can experience this at home anywhere, at any time.

HammerFall is and always will be a live band and together with the greatest fans in the world we are an unstoppable force!”

Guitarist Oscar Dronjak added:

“The live act that HammerFall is right now blows everything we have done previously out of the water, and I am super happy that we got to document it in this way on the biggest tour we have ever done.

The setlist speaks for itself — every album is represented with at least one song; there’s stuff we have never performed live before, songs we haven’t played in a long time and of course all the classics. It’s a great testament to where we stand today, and an added bonus is that we finally got to record something major in Germany, in front of the fans who have been with us literally since day one.”

HammerFall Cancel North American Tour With Beast In Black & Edge Of Paradise

HammerFall have cancelled their North American tour with Beast In Black and Edge Of Paradise due to the coronavirus pandemic. The band commented:

“Some of you have already started to get your refunds, so now it’s official: the North American tour that was to take place in September/October is cancelled. That sucks, but with the current global pandemic wreaking havoc on the world we (meaning the local promoters, booking agent and the band) had no choice. We are hopeful to be able to rebook the tour for a future time, but since everything is so unstable at the moment the decision was made to scrap altogether it and return to it when things have calmed down. We are as sorry for this as you are, but hope you have understanding for our predicament brought on by the Corona virus. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay metal, and take care of each other! #HammerHigh”

HammerFall Premiere New Video For “Second To One” Featuring Battle Beast’s Noora Louhimo

HammerFall have premiered a new video for their new version of “Second To One” featuring Battle Beast’s Noora Louhimo. The original track is from the band’s latest album “Dominion.”

Oscar Dronjak said the following:

“It all started with Joacim [Cans] suggesting we should try to write a song together with our longtime producer James Michael. We went over to Los Angeles for a weekend, not knowing what to expect. Within the first 30 minutes, I played an idea I had for James. He immediately responded with some chords and melodies, and we took it from there. Together, we wrote the music in just a couple of hours and met the next day to just finalize all the details. That’s how fast it can go sometimes when you get a feeling for something and the snowball just starts rolling, and it’s the greatest feeling in the world. The ‘hit-or-miss’ weekend in this case definitely turned out as a hit.”

Cans added:

“Already during the writing process, I had the feeling this song would be perfect as a duet — a sort of modern ‘Ozzy and Lita Ford.’ I have had my eye on Battle Beast and Noora Louhimo for quite some time and was blown away by her vocal skills and stage presence. I had a feeling our voices would be a perfect match. When we decided to make the duet idea reality, I just picked up the phone and called Noora who instantly said, ‘Hell yeah!’ Working with Noora was nothing but awesome and we bonded the second we met. Not only is she an extremely talented vocalist, she is also a fantastic human being. The great connection between Noora and I really shows in the video clip for the song.”

Louhimo also commented:

“I was contacted by Joacim and asked if I wanted to do a duet with him on ‘Second To One’. My first thought was ‘what an honor’ and that I needed to listen to this song to make my final decision. Once I heard it, I knew it was going to be something special and agreed on the collaboration. I flew to Gothenburg for the sessions and even though I hadn’t met Joacim or the others from HammerFall before, it felt very natural and easy to work with them. I also agree with Joacim that we hit it off right away and you can see that in the music video how comfortable things were between us. I am so excited to be part of this and to go on tour with them with Battle Beast in the end of January.”

The group commented:

“Sweden Rock Festival is like a second home to us, and we are stoked to present you the video for ‘(We Make) Sweden Rock’ filmed at the festival. It was nothing short of amazing to once again – for the seventh time! – perform on stage at Sweden’s biggest recurring festival period. We loved seeing the massive crowd and the fans’ engagement and involvement made this night into something truly, truly special. Together with everyone there, we made Sweden Rock rock.”

Hammerfall Premiere “(We Make) Sweden Rock” Lyric Video

Hammerfall have premiered a lyric video for their new song “(We Make) Sweden Rock.” This track is from the band’s new album “Dominion,” which will be released on August 16.

Vocalist Joacim Cans commented:

“The lyrical content is direct referrals to songs and bands hailing from the north. In the lyric video we took everything a step further and included photos, not only from bands referred to in the lyrics, but from loads of other Swedish bands. It’s kind of a history lesson in Swedish Hard Rock & Metal.”

Guitarist Oscar Dronjak added:

“The song is a tribute to the Swedish hard rock/heavy metal wonders that have swept the world for the past five decades. Bands from Sweden are tremendously well respected everywhere and we want to shine a light on everyone who helped create this.”
