Ghoul Announce “Live In The Flesh” Livestream Concert

Ghoul have announced a virtual concert, which they are calling “Live In The Flesh.” The event will stream live on June 26 via YouTube and Twitch.

The following was said about the livestream in a press release:

“Tune in at 10:00pm ET / 7:00pm PT on Twitch (twitch.tv/therealdigestor) or YouTube (youtube.com/creepsylvanian) for Live In The Flesh! Join the members of GHOUL and Tankcrimes Records label fiend Scotty Karate as they exchange bon mots and (virtual) bodily fluids with YOU in the most socially distant possible venue!

And are you ready for more good news? Are you sitting down?! The wonderful people at Lo-Fi Video are releasing a limited run of Live In The Flesh on VHS, and it goes on sale during the livestream! With a colored cassette packaged in a clamshell case and a scratch ‘n’ sniff GHOUL sticker included with every order, this sweet baby ticks all the nostalgia boxes that your worm-eaten hypothalamus demands!”

Ghoul‘s Digestor also commented:

“Once in a while, a concert video comes along. GHOUL’s Live In The Flesh is such a concert video. If you want pathos, if you want passion, if you want prop-based heavy metal delivered with questionable technical skill, then this is the livestream for you. We look forward to melting what’s left of the brains of our loyal fans on June 26th and beyond.”

Ghoul Share Previously Unreleased Song “The Nectarnomicon”

Ghoul have released a new single titled “The Nectarnomicon“ via Bandcamp. The following was said about the track, which was recorded about four years ago:

“After the onslaught of Abominox on their town of Creepsylvania, Fermentor of Ghoul remembers his lowly origins as a slave at vineyard. There, under the heel of a cruel and depraved vintner, he first encountered the unholy book from whence Abominox and his ilk, the Mouldy Ones, gained a foothold in our dimension. It also had some sweet recipes for home brew. Could the Nectarnomicon be their savior? Does the world have a lifeline? Will he remember to tell the other Ghouls after he sobers up?”

Ghoul Launch Crowdfunding Campaign For New Comic Book

Ghoul have launched a crowdfunding campaign for a new comic book called “Ghoul: Born To Kill.” The book, which was illustrated by Ross Sewage (Exhumed, etc.), is a “horror comic recounting tales from Ghoul’s homeland, the very real and spooky country of Creepsylvania.”

Sewage commented:

“I love Ghoul‘s music and I love their very real, very true backstory. I thought comic books would be a great medium to get more tales from Creepsylvania into the hands of their rabid fans. Kickstarter seemed like the perfect place to let those rabid fans take part in bringing it to life. If this goes well, hopefully there’ll be more to come!”

Ghoul’s Cremator added:

“Ross who? Oh yeah, that guy who got me super drunk that one night. He pumped me for some stories about home. I guess he drew a comic book or something.”

Ghoul Premiere Animated Video For “Shred The Dead”

Ghoul have premiered an animated video for “Shred The Dead.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Dungeon Bastards.”

Director Zak Kirwin commented:

“When I talked to whoever runs Ghoul‘s social media, I was itching to animate a Ghoul song. The music and aesthetic are right up my alley. When they came back with the idea of doing ‘Shred The Dead,’ things really kicked off. Skateboarding, zombies, riffs, and grievous injury… what more could you want?

After that, I was chained to a desk in a Creepsylvanian ‘animation’ studio, drawing till my fingernails cracked and bled, subsisting on nothing but corpse juice and old hot fries. I lost two fingers and partial vision in my right eye. Do I regret it? Of course not! Do I wake up screaming every night? Yes, but I always did that; it’s just louder now.”

Ghoul Team Up With Ill Bill For New Split 7″

Ghoul have teamed up with rapper Ill Bill for a new split 7″, which is set to be released on May 11. The effort, which can be streamed below, will include Ghoul‘s “Splatterthrash 2: Thrash Damage“ and Ill Bill‘s “Pentagram” feat. Goretex. Ghoul commented:

“Ghoul is disgusted to announce our split with the dynamic duo of Ill Bill and Goretex! Your ears will hear but your mind will not survive the molten metal and hardcore hip hop served raw on wax by Tankcrimes and Uncle Howie Records! Go forth and ill!”

Ill Bill added:

“Ghoul is one of the few great bands that are next level enough to have birthed this idea in the first place. They saw the potential fun in putting out a record like this and then actually took it from just another sick idea to making it a reality. I’d say the mutual admiration and vibes is why the record came about and why this split speaks the same language even though both genres are very different.”

Ghoul Premiere New Song “Shred The Dead”

Ghoul have premiered a new song titled “Shred The Dead.” This song is from the band’s new album, “Dungeon Bastards,” which will be released on July 29.

Digestor said the following:

“‘Shred The Dead‘ is a song about undead fiends, eldritch, mysterious skateboard tricks, and the efficacy of the prevent defense. If Mr. Mustaine is reading this, I’m sure our lawyers can work something out. You seem like a reasonable man.”
