Dark Funeral Premiere “Leviathan” Music Video

Dark Funeral have premiered a new video for their new song “Leviathan.” This track is from the band’s new album “We Are The Apocalypse,” which will be released on March 18. Vocalist Heljarmadr commented:

“I immediately heard the ocean when I was listening to the intro for the track, so I wrote from that place and I began to see this place that I was hearing. So I’m trying to create this dire, ominous experience in the water, which is a unique theme and concept for us.”

Dark Funeral Premiere “Nightfall” Music Video

Dark Funeral have premiered a new video for their new song “Nightfall.” This track is from the band’s new album “We Are The Apocalypse,” which will be released on March 18.

Guitarist Lord Ahriman commented:

“With ‘Nightfall‘, we continue to push the boundaries and go faster than anything we have ever done before. I wanted to create the feeling of levitating above the soundscape and into my own dark and twisted world. At this speed, it was also a challenge to find a good balance and dynamic where melodies and atmosphere did not disappear in a noise, but I think we really nailed it! ‘Nightfall‘ gives epic a whole new meaning. Enjoy!”

Vocalist Heljarmadr added:

“Sometimes I am quite glad that I am not a drummer. I think Jalomaah outdid himself here and it was like standing in a wind tunnel when we recorded it in the studio. But through all the high tempo hammering shines great detail and I think this song has a lot of dynamics. I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing the crowd chant ‘Nightfall‘ the day we bring it to the stage.”

Dark Funeral Premiere “Let The Devil In” Music Video

Dark Funeral have premiered a new video for their new song “Let The Devil In.” This track is from their new album “We Are The Apocalypse,” which will be released on March 18.

Guitarist Lord Ahriman commented:

“It is with great pleasure that we can hereby offer you a first taste of our upcoming album ‘We Are The Apocalypse’ with the track ‘Let The Devil In’. It may be a slightly different song from us, but it still holds the true darkness and spirit that is Dark Funeral. It was obvious to all of us that this would be the song that we set the bar with and premiere first. The song also comes with a video, which we recorded in Wroclaw, Poland together with Grupa13. It really was a great pleasure to work with such a professional team. The result is outstanding and fits this completely dark story that is ‘Let The Devil In’ very well.”

He also added:

“To me, ‘Let The Devil In’ comes in as a proof of the great deeds you can achieve when you turn to your innermost darkness and in harmony become one with your inner devil. ENJOY the darkness!”

“We Are The Apocalypse” Track Listing:

01. “Nightfall”
02. “Let The Devil In”
03. “When Our Vengeance Is Done”
04. “Nosferatu”
05. “When I’m Gone”
06. “Beyond The Grave”
07. “A Beast To Praise”
08. “Leviathan”
09. “We Are The Apocalypse”

In other news, Dark Funeral will also be playing an album release show at Fållan in Stockholm, Sweden on March 19. Samael and Eleine will open.

Dark Funeral Share “The End Of Human Race” Quarantine Video

Dark Funeral have shared a quarantine video for their song “The End Of Human Race.” The band commented:

“While the pandemic is sweeping across the world we decided to stay active in the background. We are constantly working on the next album but we also decided to check in with a rehearsal video for you. We decided to keep it live & raw. The choice of song is quite suitable too don’t you think? This video was recorded on the 25th of May, sound mixed by Norwin Palme and video edited by Heljarmadr.”

Thieves Steal Dark Funeral’s Stage Outfits In San Francisco, CA

While Dark Funeral were in San Francisco, CA, thieves ended up breaking into the band’s vehicle and making off with some of their stage outfits. The group have issued a statement about the situation, asking fans to let them know if they see or hear anything.

Here’s what the band had to say:

“There are few things worse than thieves! We just discovered that 2 if our bags containing our stage outfits were stolen from a car in San Francisco. Window smashed and bags gone. As you know these things are of little use or value for anyone but for us they are unvaluable! If you see or hear anything, please let us know!

UPDATE!

We always travel with 3 Samsonite suitcases including our stagewear. Only two of them were stolen when we had a brrakin to our car in San Fransisco (Lombard/Fransisco area). It shows that the suitcase we still have in our belongings includes all Lord Ahriman & Chaq Mol‘s gear except for their leather pants & boots (which are easy to replace). That means we still missing the stagewear for Heljagmadr, Adra Melek & Jalomaah! if you hear or see anything please let us know.”

Nils “Dominator” Fjellström Taking “Much Needed Timeout” From Dark Funeral

Dark Funeral drummer Nils “Dominator” Fjellström will be taking “a much needed timeout from the band to handle personal matters.” The group have recruited a replacement called Jalomaah, who can be seen performing “The Arrival of Satan’s Empire” in the below video:

Dark Funeral commented:

“We must sadly inform you that we have agreed to let Nils “Dominator” Fjellstroem take a much needed timeout from the band to handle personal matters. We of course wish him the best!

Yet the world keeps turning and so DARK FUNERAL will stride on. We have hired an extremely talented drummer that will fill in Nils position until further notice. He will make his live debut with us today, friday Nov 10, at Aalborg Metal Festival in Denmark. Here’s a video clip showing “Jalomaah” when he is rehearsing one of our songs “The Arrival of Satan’s Empire”. Impressive to say the least!

All scheduled shows and tours will take place as planned! Stay tuned for further announcements!

2018 will be an epic year as we have two celebrations to make, our classic album “Vobiscum Satanas” turns 20 years old and DARK FUNERAL celebrate 25 years as a band.

More news to follow, stay tuned!”
