Comeback Kid Premiere “Face The Fire” Music Video

Comeback Kid have premiered a new video for their song “Face The Fire.” This track is from the band’s new album “Heavy Steps,” which was released today (January 21).

Andrew Neufeld commented:

“We were finally able to operate as a band again and tour over the last 5 months and this new video ‘Face The Fire‘ is a collection of footage and photos that I collected over that time. It is an accurate reflection of what our live shows encompass and that specific energy that we have missed so much.”

He also added:

“We are over the moon to finally put out ‘Heavy Steps‘. This album’s journey started 2 years ago when the pandemic hit and has brought us here today as one of the most collaborative efforts we have had the privilege to be involved in. From writing the album from across the country to meeting Winnipeg to jam and eventually record. Having a mixer like Will Putney gets involved and brings the sonic elements to life. It has truly been an honor.”

Comeback Kid Cancel European/UK Tour

Comeback Kid have cancelled their European/UK tour with Be Well, Devil In Me, and Scowl. The band commented:

“We made it sooo far and…No shortage of trying to make it happen. Sorry @devil_in_me_band @scowl40831 @bewellhc @xllifeworldwide but we will not be able to make the EU/UK dates happen. We are as mad as you are about this. Out of our control. We will make it up to you. #HeavySteps out JAN. 21!!”

Comeback Kid Premiere Video For New Song “Crossed” Featuring Gojira’s Joe Duplantier

Comeback Kid have premiered a new video for their new song “Crossed.” This track features Gojira’s Joe Duplantier and it will appear on the band’s new album “Heavy Steps,” which is set to be released on January 21.

Comeback Kid’s Andrew Neufeld commented:

“‘Crossed‘ is a no-frills metallic hardcore track. Lyrically it deals with someone in my life that seemed so far gone and I had to watch them dig themselves further and further into a low and unrealistic place. ‘Crossed into the void’ so to say. We enlisted Joe from Gojira to represent somewhat of an overlord menacing presence in the song. An overshadowing power via his blood-curdling scream. This song is direct and to the point about staying in reality and warns of the elements that could bring us further into darkness.”

“It was wild how this song and video all came together. So many people from all over the world contributed to this project. On top of the teams used to create the video, the track was recorded in Winnipeg and was mixed in New York by Will Putney. Then Joe [Duplantier] recorded his parts at his house (I believe) in France! This is one of the most fun collaborative projects that I have had the pleasure of working on.”

Comeback Kid Premiere “Heavy Steps” Music Video

Comeback Kid have premiered a new video for their new single “Heavy Steps.” This song is the title track of the band’s new album, which will be released on January 21.

Andrew Neufeld said the following about the song:

“I think of our new single ‘Heavy Steps‘ as a bold statement of a riff right off the bat, and lyrically coming from an unhinged perspective about tearing through life. Instinct over reason – without even realizing how easily our worlds could implode from under our feet. A bit of a “just test me” type sentiment is being echoed in this song.”

He also added the following about the album:

“It’s about hitting the ground running, not knowing when or where the ground could break from underneath you. It’s heavy steps on thin ice. ‘Heavy Steps’ on hollow ground.”

“Heavy Steps” Track Listing:

01. “Heavy Steps”
02. “No Easy Way Out”

Comeback Kid Premiere “No Easy Way Out” Music Video

Comeback Kid have premiered an age-restricted video for their new song “No Easy Way Out.” Vocalist Andrew Neufeld commented:

“This was an attempt to conjure up an edge of your seat rhythm that stays the course but builds intensity the whole way through until the end. The feeling of looking over your shoulder and running for dear life. This is a stomper hardcore tune with a pummeling pace. When you’re pushed in a corner, there’s no easy way out!”
