The Haxans (New Years Day, Rob Zombie) Premiere Video For Cover Of David Bowie’s “Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps)”

The Haxans, the goth pop project featuring Ash Costello (New Years Day) and Piggy D. (Rob Zombie), have premiered a new video for their cover of David Bowie’s “Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps).” The clip was recorded during the band’s “Knott’s Scary Farm” residency at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. Piggy D. commented:

“We picked our covers for our Knott’s this year from Halloween playlists we’ve created over the years. One song that has been a staple ever since I could make playlists, was this Bowie song. The original version has such a unique vibe, that it really took some years to figure out how to bring our own thing to it. It’s surely a fun one for me to sing on a little more than I do most of our other tunes. It’s certainly become a song that defines us and our audience and gets a party started!”

The Haxans (New Years Day, Rob Zombie) Announce “Knott’s Scary Farm” Halloween Residency

The Haxans, the goth pop project featuring Ash Costello (New Years Day) and Piggy D. (Rob Zombie), have announced a residency at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. The shows will be part of the theme park’s “Knott’s Scary Farm” Halloween event.

The group will be playing 30-minute sets at 8PM, 9PM, 10PM, and 11PM on the following nights:

September: 23, 24, 25, and 26.

October: 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30, and 31.

Costello commented:

“The Haxans was created with the idea that we wanted to become a staple on every Halloween party playlist and what better way to help make that dream become a reality than to play the biggest Halloween party of them all, Knott’s Scary Farm! We are so excited to be among our people after two years of isolation, we are VERY ready to get our monster mash on!”

Piggy D added:

“One of the goals of this band was for us to be guest stars on a Scooby Doo episode. I feel like us playing legendary amusement park during the Halloween season is one step closer to that dream becoming a reality. We consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to do this. If this band had a smell it would be pumpkin spice, and the patrons of Knott’s this time of year are our people! We can’t wait!”

Watch Vio-lence, Vision Of Disorder, Nonpoint, Etc. Members Cover Don Henley‘s “The Boys Of Summer“

Phil Demmel (Vio-lence, ex-Machine Head), Tim Williams (Vision Of Disorder, Bloodsimple), Robb Rivera (Nonpoint), Piggy D (Rob Zombie, The Haxans), and Marta Demmel (Bleeding Through) have joined forces for a cover of Don Henley‘s “The Boys Of Summer.“ You can check that out below. Phil Demmel commented:

“Been wanting to do a cover with Robb Rivera, Tim Williams and Piggy D for awhile, but as the the Vio-lence recording was progressing and other (paying) opportunities were becoming priority to my recording practice, I was phasing out the collab-a-jams as the music industry is starting to crawl back. Then @pauliezofficial approached me about contributing another song for the @davidzfoundation fundraiser this year it presented this opportunity to jam with my buds. My wife Marta added some awesome keys and our youngest son, Magnus makes his video premiere. Please check out the foundation and it’s cause and thanks to all who helped create this jam.”
