The Haxans (New Years Day, Rob Zombie) Premiere “All The Roses” Video

The Haxans, the goth pop project featuring Ash Costello (New Years Day) and Piggy D. (Rob Zombie), have released a new song titled “All The Roses.” You can find an official video for that track below:

Costello commented

“‘All The Roses’ is one of those songs that invokes a feeling within upon hearing its very first note. It immediately made me feel scorned, vengeful, devious and almost evil in just a few heavy strums of the opening riff”

“Our goal was to create a visual that embodied those natural feelings in the song. It’s very fun to play with the mythology of the band and explore where we might have been in a past life and all of the trouble we caused!”

Piggy D. added:

“We did most of our recording in Pasadena California, ‘The Rose City’ for several years. I became obsessed with Roses and taking pictures of them everyday on my walks around the neighborhood. I found them, their symbolism, and their parallel to the fragility to human relationships endlessly fascinating. So, learn to enjoy the pure beauty while it’s in front of you because nothing lasts forever. The song was one of those that wrote itself in 15 mins. I barely remember trying to play or write anything in the song, it just happened. It came through me from somewhere else. Unlike a lot of our songs, we didn’t change one note or word. I think Ash only sang it once. So, it’s all exactly as it landed on earth. Unspoiled by fertilizer.”

“The video explores the idea that the band and our spirits existed in different moments in time. Which I find really fun in a ‘Twilight Zone’ kind of way.”

The Haxans (New Years Day, Rob Zombie) Premiere Video For Cover Of David Bowie’s “Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps)”

The Haxans, the goth pop project featuring Ash Costello (New Years Day) and Piggy D. (Rob Zombie), have premiered a new video for their cover of David Bowie’s “Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps).” The clip was recorded during the band’s “Knott’s Scary Farm” residency at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. Piggy D. commented:

“We picked our covers for our Knott’s this year from Halloween playlists we’ve created over the years. One song that has been a staple ever since I could make playlists, was this Bowie song. The original version has such a unique vibe, that it really took some years to figure out how to bring our own thing to it. It’s surely a fun one for me to sing on a little more than I do most of our other tunes. It’s certainly become a song that defines us and our audience and gets a party started!”

The Haxans (New Years Day, Rob Zombie) Announce “Knott’s Scary Farm” Halloween Residency

The Haxans, the goth pop project featuring Ash Costello (New Years Day) and Piggy D. (Rob Zombie), have announced a residency at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. The shows will be part of the theme park’s “Knott’s Scary Farm” Halloween event.

The group will be playing 30-minute sets at 8PM, 9PM, 10PM, and 11PM on the following nights:

September: 23, 24, 25, and 26.

October: 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30, and 31.

Costello commented:

“The Haxans was created with the idea that we wanted to become a staple on every Halloween party playlist and what better way to help make that dream become a reality than to play the biggest Halloween party of them all, Knott’s Scary Farm! We are so excited to be among our people after two years of isolation, we are VERY ready to get our monster mash on!”

Piggy D added:

“One of the goals of this band was for us to be guest stars on a Scooby Doo episode. I feel like us playing legendary amusement park during the Halloween season is one step closer to that dream becoming a reality. We consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to do this. If this band had a smell it would be pumpkin spice, and the patrons of Knott’s this time of year are our people! We can’t wait!”
