Metallica have announced that they will be releasing new colored vinyl pressings of “Garage Inc.,” “Load,” “ReLoad,” “St. Anger,” and “Death Magnetic” on June 17. You can pre-order those exclusively through Walmart.
Metallica are currently seeking content for the upcoming deluxe reissues of “Load” and “Reload.” Fans are encouraged to submit photos, ticket stubs, backstage passes, etc. from August 1995 through September 1998. During Metallica‘s first 40th anniversary show at the Chase Center in San Francisco, CA last night (December 17), the band performed “Fixxxer“ live for the first time. You can see fan-filmed footage of that below. If you missed it, you can also find my review of the concert HERE.
Projected (Sevendust, Alter Bridge, etc.) have premiered a new video for their new song “Reload.” This song is from their new double album “Ignite My Insanity” which will be released on July 21.
During their May 29 show in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Metallica played “The Unforgiven II” for the first time live in concert (second if you count their performance at a 1997 award show in Las Vegas).
