  • Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Fire The Humans

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with Fire The Humans.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

FIRE THE HUMANS: Fire the Humans is the evocative solo musical project of a singer-songwriter whose work has captured listeners around the globe with its raw emotional depth and distinctive sonic identity. Since launching Fire the Humans in 2020, intensely private (Jeff Lee) the artist, has carved out a space where raspy, soulful vocals — often interwoven with expressive falsetto colors — meet heartfelt storytelling. With lyrics that explore the complex landscapes of love, hurt, and frustration.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

FIRE THE HUMANS: I was always drawn to authentic and artists that were creatively free. From Prince to Pantera to Beck. From Rival Sons to The Neighbourhood. I like artists that are genuine and honest, not hungry for money and fame.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

FIRE THE HUMANS: Fire the Humans is releasing the new single called ‘Burned Alive’, which is a sexy and sultry 1AM listening song. Soulful and intimate. Everyone has experienced this moment when you’re in a room with someone you simply can’t stop staring at. The anticipation of another look across the bar, or maybe even more…

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

FIRE THE HUMANS: Fire the Humans shows are always full of anthem style hooks to sing along to, atmospheric energy, like minded beautiful people and much more… come see it for yourself.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

FIRE THE HUMANS: Being a solo project, I don’t anticipate ever stopping to write and record what I love. I don’t chase fame and fortune in music, so in 5 years, the goal is to have grown the fanbase of people that see the beauty in the artwork.

  • Paradise Lost Guitarist Gregor Mackintosh Comments On His Weight Loss, Says It’s Related To “Ongoing Health Issues”

Paradise Lost guitarist Gregor Mackintosh has issued a statement regarding his recent weight loss. According to him, it is related to “ongoing health issues, which have intensified of late.”

    Mackintosh said the following:

“Hey Everyone. I’ve been told that there are a lot of messages regarding my weight loss over the past few months. I wouldn’t normally comment on such a private thing, but I think it’s for the best in this case, to stop any further speculation.

I do have some ongoing health issues, which have intensified of late. I won’t bore anyone with the details, but I am getting good care and I feel fine. None of this affects my ability to play and I am currently on tour with Paradise Lost. The crowds are killer and PL are sounding better than they have in years.

    I truly appreciate everyone’s concern.

    See you on the road.”

  • Attila Vocalist Chris Fronzak Promotes New Company Aimed At Monetizing Music Played During Set Changes At Concerts

Attila frontman Chris Fronzak recently took to social media to promote Tour Soundtrack. That company aims to monetize the various songs that get played during set changes at concerts.

    The business offers the following:

    • Hyper-Targeted Reach: Your music is played directly to the exact audience you want to connect with — live at concerts where fans already love the genre.
    • No Fluff, No Bots: Unlike playlisting scams or random ads, these are real people in real venues, paying to see bands in your lane.
    • Built-In Credibility: If your song is played on a tour with artists fans already trust, your music gets an instant stamp of approval by association.
    • Multi-Angle Promotion: Not only does your song play live, but it also lives on the Spotify playlist and is supported with signage, social posts, and digital tie-ins.
    • Trackable ROI: You’ll see analytics on when/where your song is played, # of Shazams, clicks, and more.

    Fronzak said the following:

“If you’re in a band I have a great marketing opportunity for you. Want your song to be played live in front of 60,000+ people?”

  • Mike Patton Says Faith No More’s Last Tour Had A Sense Of “Unspoken” Closure

During a recent interview with Kyle Meredith, Faith No More singer Mike Patton opened up about the band’s last tour. According to him, the trek had a sense of “unspoken” closure.

Patton said the following when asked if the tour was a proper closure for the band:

“I didn’t really think so at the time, but, yeah, maybe. And I think that we all kind of felt it, but it was unspoken. And it’s funny: when you’ve been in a band or a musical situation for a period of time, you always, in the back of your head, you’re kind of thinking, ‘Well, maybe this is it.’ And I don’t mind that feeling. I don’t see it as a sad thing. I see it as being present and being able to really appreciate it while it’s happening.”

He also added the following when asked about his tendency to explore other projects:

“I’d never really understood, and I had to figure this out very early on, was the concept of a side project, that’s assuming that there’s a main one. And for me, I really never had one. There were projects like Faith No More where I spent more time on, in terms of touring and promoting, quote-unquote, if you will, but everything that I’ve done was of equal importance to me. They just weren’t viewed that way. And the public, for whatever reason, needs to have a hierarchy kind of built in there just to make themselves feel better about it, I guess. I don’t know.”
