  • Puddle Of Mudd Premiere “Free” Music Video

Puddle Of Mudd have premiered a new video for their song “Free.” You can check that out below. The track is from the band’s latest album “Kiss The Machine.” Frontman Wes Scantlin commented:

“Everybody goes through life with ups and downs, and you can find your way. Along the way, people come around and they’re not your people. Accept the people who are trying to help you. Look up to God, ask Him for help, and He’ll take you somewhere better. I hope people hear their own story in ‘Free’ and take whatever they need from the song. Keep your head up, improve, and remain awesome. God will guide you in the right direction. Get free. Stay free. Stay kind and be nice to each other.”

Sepultura will only be playing material from Derrick Green’s era of the band during their set at this year’s Rock In Rio festival. That event will take place at the City of Rock in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on September 4–13. Sepultura will perform on September 5.

  • Ill Niño Part Ways With New Guitarist Xander Raymond

Ill Niño have parted ways with guitarist Xander Raymond. This news comes after he barely joined the band earlier this year.

    Raymond issued the following statement:

“In the beginning of 2026, I was hired by the band ILL NINO to become a permanent replacement and the newest member. Last night, I received a call telling me they no longer need me as a replacement. This was a total shock, as I was committed for several months, and the first show is 3 weeks away. I was informed this decision was completely out of my control, and I had nothing to do with it.

As of today, I am available for work. If anyone needs a guitar player, I’m here. I keep my word, and I commit to what I agree to.

Lastly, there is no bad blood, and I understand this is strictly a business decision. I wish ILL NINO nothing but the best.

    XRC”

  • Watch Sepultura Perform “The Place” Live For The First Time

During their March 20 show in Perth, Australia, Sepultura performed “The Place” live for the first time. You can see fan-filmed footage of that below. The track is from the band’s new EP, “The Cloud Of Unknowing,“ which will be released on April 24.

  • Raven To Record New Album This Summer

During a recent interview with The Five Count, Raven bassist/vocalist John Gallagher offered an update on the band’s new album. According to him, the group will record the effort this summer.

    Gallagher said the following:

“The [‘Can’t Take Away The Fire’] EP really points to where the next album’s going to be, which we have pretty much all the songs written. We have an awful lot of songs, and I think we have everything we need. We just have to go through them and see what would be a good starter, what would follow that, what would be a good end and fill in the gaps. And we will probably be recording that in the summer, [around] July, August. So we’ll be able to, in our down moments on the [spring 2026 North American] tour, which won’t be many, we’ll be playing songs and going, ‘What do you think of this one? What do you think of that one?’ But I’m excited. The stuff we’ve got, it’s yet another step ahead — more intense, more melodic, more heavy, more crazy. [Laughs] A little bit of everything.”

He also confirmed that the group are planning more touring in support of the album:

“Yeah, we’re already planning for 2027. It’s looking really good so far. And I’m just excited to kick it all into gear, get it going.”

    He also added:

“We’ll be discussing title and cover idea for the new [album] when we’re out there [on the road]. Because we’re spread a little bit all over the map — Mike’s [Heller, RAVEN drummer] out in Texas, [RAVEN guitarist Mark Gallagher and I are] here Florida. But we shall be throwing ideas at each other.”

  • Blue Medusa (Ex-Arch Enemy, Etc.) Are Planning To Release “A Bunch Of Singles” Before Putting Out Full-Length Album

During a recent Q&A session, Blue Medusa vocalist Alissa White-Gluz (ex-Arch Enemy, ex-The Agonist) discussed their plans for more new music. According to her, the band are planning to “release a bunch of singles” before releasing a full-length album.

    White-Gluz said the following:

“We are thinking maybe it’s fun to release a bunch of singles, because, I love making music videos as much as I love writing songs, and I love being able to assign a moment in time. Like March 20th is ‘Checkmate’ day now, and I love being able to assign a moment in time and a theme and a visual to a song because I feel like it just makes it so much stronger — for me anyways, it does. And so I’m kind of digging the idea of giving you guys a lot of singles. And then, of course, there will be an album as well. And I will keep you guys posted on all of that.”

    She also discussed live shows:

“We do have two festivals already announced, and those are in the USA: Louder Than Life and Aftershock festival, which are both festivals that I have attended in the past, and they are amazing. So if you’re based in the USA and you do wanna see BLUE MEDUSA live, I can guarantee you’re gonna see us at those festivals. And if you’re not from the USA and you feel like doing like a vacation or something, you can always time it around that because those festivals are really, really huge and they’re very cool. But you also don’t have to worry, because we will absolutely be touring everywhere that I have toured in the past. We are coming to see all of you again. I can’t go that long without seeing you. A lot of you know, I know you by name when I see you in the front row or at a meet-and-greet. You guys have become a part of my life in a way that is so important for making this music happen and making all of this happen. So I’m gonna see you again soon. As soon as we have anything confirmed, you will hear about it. It’ll be on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Patreon. We’re gonna post about it. So don’t even worry. We will be back soon and be performing for you guys.”

  • The Troops Of Doom (Ex-Sepultura) Recruit Testament, Destruction, Etc. Members For Cover Of KISS’ “God Of Thunder”

The Troops Of Doom, the project featuring Jairo “Tormentor” Guedz (ex-Sepultura), have recruited Chuck Billy (Testament), Andria Busic (Dr. Sin), PJ (Jota Quest), and Martin Furia (Destruction) for a new cover of KISS’ “God Of Thunder.” You can check that out below. Guedz commented:

“Since The Troops Of Doom was formed back in 2020, we’ve used ‘God Of Thunder’ as a pre-intro in our shows. Whenever the audience hears this song playing through the P.A., they already know the band is about to hit the stage. It’s almost a ritual for us. We all grew up listening to KISS, so this track has always held a special meaning. We are huge fans of all the musicians involved. Each one was carefully chosen for representing something we truly admire. That makes the result even more special. Above all, this song is a celebration of what connects us: the love for KISS and heavy music.”
