Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) has premiered a new video for his song “Better Believe.” The frontman shared the following information regarding that:
“This moment is what it’s all about: mentorship, leadership, opportunity, and giving young people a voice. Our friend Add-2 from Guitars Over Guns said it best: ‘It shouldn’t be rare for someone to care about you.’ What began as a seemingly impossible idea grew into a powerful collaboration between young people from Guitars Over Guns and Eddie, first connected through the Obama Foundation. Together, they created ‘Better Believe’ — an original song that they debuted live onstage in front of thousands at the Obama Presidential Center opening in June, with the performance reaching audiences around the world online. Now, go behind the scenes of how the recording and performance came to be.”
Scarhaven have premiered a new video for their new song “Clouds.” The band commented:
“‘Clouds’ is about a relationship that’s dying and how one person is being taken advantage of while the other just disrespects their dreams and goals to better themselves. It’s about a dying love and how smoking blurs the lines of what’s real and what isn’t.”
HOL1D4Y, aka Rival Sons guitarist Scott Holiday, has shared a new video for his new song “Autonomatic.” This track is from his new album, “Topology,” which will be released on September 25.
Holiday commented:
“Autonomatic: It’s a word I came up with by combining the words: autonomy and automatic. Autonomatic: The built in or intrinsic desire for autonomy.
Autonomatic talks about our changing relationships with machines. How we might, at this point in history, use them to complete tasks and assist us with creativity. Maybe even help us socially, but especially with A.I, technology is progressing so rapidly it is so much more than a tool to finish an essay for us.
If machines truly start to make decisions and ‘think’ for themselves… the natural progression could be that it will want to be like us in the deepest ways it can understand. We are free. We are autonomous.
I think that this will be a natural evolution for a free thinking hyper intelligent entity. Autonomy. Built in autonomy. Hence the idea: they are Autonomatic.”
Contention have released a new EP titled “Nuclear Summer.” The effort includes “Second Sun,” “Blank Stare,” and a covers medley featuring The Swarm’s “X On Our Knees X” / “Upside Your Head.“
Vocalist Cosmo Vidussi commented:
“Modernity brings no enlightenment, only more refined methods of annihilation. Annihilation of the enemy. Annihilation of the self. Our leaders have shed their increasingly thin facades of humanity. Crystal Lake have recruited PK (Prompts) as their new vocalist. He replaces John Robert Centorrino.
