Blaze Bayley (Ex-Iron Maiden) To Release New Album “The Redemption Of William Black” In March

Blaze Bayley (ex-Iron Maiden) will be releasing his new album “The Redemption Of William Black” on March 2. The effort will be the third album in his “Infinite Entanglement” trilogy.

Here’s an official press release:

Blaze Bayley Announces Pre-orders for Brand New Album and World Tour schedule 2018 – 2019

Blaze Bayley is set to release the third album in his ‘Infinite Entanglement’ trilogy on 2nd March 2018 and has announced pre-order packages, plus an exciting world tour schedule for UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Latin America.

There are three pre-order packages – ‘Regular’, ‘Membership’ and ‘Ultimate Membership’, the latter sold-out within 72 hours, whilst the others remain available via The packages offer fans a mouth-watering mix of merch items and also special online features, as well as exclusive DVD bonus content.

The new album, called ‘The Redemption of William Black’, is the highly-anticipated third part of the trilogy, bringing the sci-fi concept to a conclusion.

This will be the tenth album of Blaze’s solo career, following his rise to global fame as singer with Iron Maiden (1994-1999). He was chosen for the Maiden role after coming to notice with his first band Wolfsbane, based around home-city Birmingham, England, which is now the location for the recording of all his more recent solo releases.

The past 3-4 years has been an exciting period in Blaze’s career, with a real sense of purpose, increased sales and media attention, not least with the recent front cover of Powerplay magazine (November 2017 issue), together with a 3 page tour report from North America. Blaze received further recognition when voted by fans as the 67th best singer of all time in Sweden Rock magazine, whilst a guest performance with Disturbed at the UK’s premiere music festival Download was another highlight.

‘The Redemption of William Black’ has been co-written with Chris Appleton of fellow British metal band Absolva. Chris, who also co-produces the album, is lead guitarist and backing vocalist in Blaze’s band for recording and touring, together with his Absolva band mates Martin McNee (drums) and Karl Schramm (bass and backing vocals).

Special guests on the album include Fozzy singer Chris Jericho, also of WWE fame, for whom Blaze has specially created a character within the ‘Infinite Entanglement’ story. Also, on choir duty is Luke Appleton (Iced Earth bassist and Absolva rhythm guitarist), as well as Michelle Sciarrotta – choir/voice actor, Jo Robinson – choir, Mel Adams – choir, Liz Owen – backing vocals/choir, Aine Brewer – voice actor, and Rob Toogood – choir/voice actor.

‘The Redemption of William Black’ World Tour begins at the end of February in Glasgow and the European leg completes on 25th and 26th May when a live DVD and CD will be recorded over 2 nights at Chez Paulette, near Nancy, France. After a small number of festival shows in the Summer, plus a short second run of UK shows to be confirmed, the tour heads to USA and Canada in September, on the back of the success of the North America Tour of 2017. Then, in the first half of 2019 the schedule takes the tour to Latin America and again to the USA to return to those territories not covered in 2018, by which time the live DVD and CD will be ready for release.

Special guests on the UK shows (except Hammerfest) will be Manchester-based hard rockers Faith In Glory, whilst in Europe from 1st April to the completion of the European leg on 26th May, the special guest will be Luke Appleton (Iced Earth / Absolva) with his solo acoustic show.

Blaze Bayley (Ex-Iron Maiden) To Release New Album “Endure And Survive” In March

Blaze Bayley (ex-Iron Maiden) will be releasing his new album “Endure And Survive” on March 3, and will be heading out on a world tour in support of the effort. You can read more about that in the below press release.

Blaze Bayley Announces Brand New Album and World Tour

Blaze Bayley, singer with Iron Maiden 1994-1999, announces his World Tour schedule to promote a brand new album, the 9th studio record of his solo career.

In home-city Birmingham, England, often celebrated as the birthplace of metal, Blaze Bayley has completed the recording of his ninth studio album, aptly titled ‘Endure and Survive’. The record is an exciting and enthralling sequel to his 2016 release ‘Infinite Entanglement’ which was the first of a trilogy of releases following a sci-fi concept and storyline.

‘Endure and Survive’ is set for release on 3rd March 2017 via Blaze Bayley Recording and will be accompanied by a world tour totalling some 120 shows. The European leg of the tour takes place principally between February and June 2017. After a small number of summer shows, Blaze will then go to the United States and Canada during August-September. It’s also planned to take the tour to Latin America in 2018.

Pre-orders for the new album are available now at

Throughout this world tour, Blaze will be backed by his main recording and touring musicians, picked from British metal band Absolva and including Chris Appleton (guitar, backing vocals), Martin McNee (drums), Karl Schramm (bass, backing vocals).

In addition to the established band members as above from Absolva, ‘Endure and Survive’ also contains a talented array of collaborators; Luke Appleton (Iced Earth / Absolva) – backing vocals, Michelle Sciarrotta – nylon acoustic, backing vocals, voice actor, Jo Robinson – backing vocals, Mel Adams – backing vocals, Liz Owen – backing vocals, Thomas Zwijsen – nylon acoustic, Anne Bakker – violin, backing vocals, Corvin Bahn (Uli Jon Roth) – accordion, Aine Brewer – voice actor, Rob Toogood – voice actor, backing vocals.

The spectacular album artwork has been completed by Andreas Sandberg, with additional images from Christopher Steenstrup who is also working on a Blaze Bayley video game.

The album was recorded between October and December 2016 at Robannas Studios, Birmingham, produced by Blaze Bayley and Chris Appleton, mixed and engineered by Miguel Seco, mastered by Ade Emsley (Iron Maiden, Tank, Phil Campbell).

As with the previous record the song-writing has been a collaboration between Blaze, Chris Appleton and Michelle Sciarrotta.

‘Endure and Survive’ track listing
1. Endure and Survive
2. Escape Velocity
3. Blood
4. Eating Lies
5. Destroyer
6. Dawn of the Dead Son
7. Remember
8. Fight Back
9. The World Is Turning the Wrong Way
10. Together We Can Move the Sun

The first single from the new album will be available early in February, together with a music video.

2014-2015 was a period of building momentum for Blaze, partly created by the highly popular release of the 15th anniversary edition of his debut solo record ‘Silicon Messiah’ as well as his ‘Soundtracks of My Life’ 30 year compilation celebrating his career since he began singing with his first band Wolfsbane, before catapulting to worldwide fame with Iron Maiden.

2016 saw a significant renaissance with the remarkable plaudits given to the ‘Infinite Entanglement’ album from fans and critics alike. The year was also notable for Blaze’s special guest performance with Disturbed at the UK’s premier festival Download when the warmth and recognition from the crowd was as crystal clear as it was predictable given Blaze’s reputation for connecting with audiences.

The European leg of the ‘Endure and Survive’ tour is listed below. Additional European shows are still to be announced, whilst the detailed schedule for the US and Canada, plus Latin America in 2018 is awaited.
