Andrew W.K. Premieres New Song “Stay True To Your Heart”

Andrew W.K. has premiered a new song titled “Stay True To Your Heart.” This track is from his new album “God Is Partying,” which will be released on September 10. Andrew W.K. said the following about the song:

“What is the most brutal form of positivity? I want to get in there. Being and staying. Being true to yourself isn’t the same as staying true to your heart. They told me all about this when I started forming. Approving the disapproval of others. Happiness. Seriousness. Zones of care – yourself, your family of supervisors, your city of strangers, your bathroom, your basement, your street. What does it mean for me to be not-human? What does it mean for a not-human to possess my party mindset? It’s not appropriate for me to analyze this song in that way. The song is meant to analyze me. And the listener is meant to party.”

”When we were making the video for ‘Everybody Sins’, the director and I were straining over some of the choreography. Now, some people will say that life is far too short and precious to waste it engaging in those sorts of wrestling matches. And others will say that life is far too short to NOT engage in this convulsing kind of ordeal. And other people will say that both of these approaches are incorrect. And what do I say? Everything I just said in the video for ‘Everybody Sins’.”

Andrew W.K. Premieres “Babalon” Music Video

Andrew W.K. has premiered a new video for his new single “Babalon.” Conceptual director Michael R.C. commented:

“With ‘Babalon’, we wanted the audience to slink back down Andrew’s tower and storm the gateway to the city of pyramids with him, or someone who looks like him. We had all been working really hard to lay thee gagging monster down, so it would dwell forever in the chasm of frivolous forming. All these images come from there, from where it’s going. That’s where we put Andrew. Consciousness hasn’t opened reality, only nightmares. Zone out now.”

Frank Vierti, longtime creative director for Andrew W.K., commented as well:

“I’ve worked on Andrew W.K. since the late ’90s, and it’s been a wild ride since day one. Still, after all the twists and turns, I have an uncanny feeling that the most twisted turns are about to take place, and I’m confident the good people at Napalm Records will hold on tight while we navigate the next loop in this never-ending rollercoaster ride.

It’s rare to find a group of music industry veterans that not only grasp the core of what we’ve been doing for the past two decades, but also have a shared vision that will take us forward and over the edges. They’ve seen through the big picture, they’ve accepted what’s going on in the background, and they’ve agreed on what’s to come. Most importantly, they’re not afraid to push this next chapter and reconnect the dots from 1999, 2001, 2005, 2009, and the tears spanning 2011 and 2018. O praise the Party Gods!”

Andrew W.K. Premieres “Music Is Worth Living For” Music Video

Andrew W.K. has premiered a new video for his song “Music Is Worth Living For.” This track is from his latest album “You’re Not Alone.” The singer commented:

“‘Music Is Worth Living For’ finds me and my band in the throes of a colossal vision quest. Determined to party harder than ever, we steel ourselves against alien elements and battle a formless but formidable storm. Multiplying myself, I attempt to transcend the whirling void by engaging in a series of flailing spiritual maneuvers, vainly wrestling with the emptiness of my own soul. Alas, I discover I had already been consumed by my own triumphantly pathetic creation. And at this moment of devastatingly poignant clarity, I realize I’m back where I started, trapped inside the hardest party of all: Being alive.”
