ten56. (Ex-Betraying The Martyrs, Etc.) Premiere “Traumadoll / RLS” Music Video

ten56. have premiered a new video for their songs “Traumadoll” and “RLS.“ Vocalist Aaron Matts (ex-Betraying The Martyrs) commented:

“We never wanted to give anyone a chance to put us in a pigeon hole, the things we’ve done until this moment are the things that people already know we are capable of, and our plan going forward is always to keep adding to our repertoire. Our sound is our identity, but the possibilities in which we express ourselves within it are and always should be without limit. ‘Traumadoll’ and ‘RLS’ speak about the lows I have experienced with substance abuse and the consequences of self medicating without seeking professional help. I hope that by being completely honest with my band mates, fans and anyone else who comes across this track, that I can encourage those in similar positions to open up and seek help. If you are in need of psychological help, please speak to someone – Aaron“

Ten56. (Ex-Betraying The Martyrs, Etc.) Share Live Performance Video For “Shitspitter”

Ten56. (ex-Betraying The Martyrs, etc.) have shared a live performance video for their song “Shitspitter.“ This track is from the band’s latest EP “Downer Part 1”

ten56. (Ex-Betraying The Martyrs, Etc.) Premiere “Kimo” Music Video

ten56. (ex-Betraying The Martyrs, etc.) have premiered a new video for their new song “Kimo.“ This track is from the band’s new EP “Downer Part 1,” which was released today (November 25). Frontman Aaron Matts commented:

“‘Kimo‘ is a track that we back-and-forthed internally on for so long, before eventually coming to the conclusion that with the right execution, sometimes less is more and also that more is always more *laughs*; we knew that we needed to push the bar to the very limit in how heavy we wanted this song to be, and felt that the visuals the track demanded would couple perfectly with the release of Downer Part.1 – We intended this first record to be listened to at full volume, from front to back, and for the user to really slip into a sense of claustrophobic discomfort and invest their energy into finding the many nuances of production that we spent so much time finding to take this record just one head above what is commonly found elsewhere. Please enjoy, and our appreciation for those that have taken the time is endless. Thank you.”

ten56. (Ex-Betraying The Martyrs, Etc.) Premiere “Sick Dog” Music Video

ten56. (ex-Betraying The Martyrs, etc.) have premiered a new video for their new song “Sick Dog.“ This track is from the band’s new EP “Downer Part 1,” which will be released on November 25. Frontman Aaron Matts commented:

“It was definitely a conscious decision to unravel and release the three singles in this order, just to show people that we’re not a one-trick pony. It’s honestly been the most enjoyable time I’ve personally had when writing and recording music. ‘Downer Part 1‘ is a six-track, and it’s supposed to sound bloody horrible!”

ten56. (Ex-Betraying The Martyrs, Etc.) Premiere “Boy” Music Video

ten56. (ex-Betraying The Martyrs, etc.) have premiered a new video for their new song “Boy.“ You can check that out below:

Aaron Matts commented:

“‘Boy‘ is one of the tracks from the upcoming record that we feel really captures the dark headspace of the ten56. universe; we set out to write a song that was as unnerving and hectic as ‘Diazepam‘ but that also incorporates some of the elements that, as listeners will come to learn, makes the ten56. sound as unique as it is.

As is the case for many of our tracks, the lyrical content is taken from the most traumatizing moments of our personal lives; there’s nothing that could convince me to go into detail publicly about the original theme of this track, so we’ll just let the listener come to their own conclusion about ‘Boy‘.”

“As with the lyrical content, the theme of the music video for ‘Boy‘ is meant to plunge the audience into a state of discomfort, and to highlight the chaotic sound of ten56., the live performance experience is something that, given the current times, people will have to wait to discover, so we’re happy to have captured the intensity of a live performance, to be able to introduce the personalities that make up the band, and also to deliver the dark thematic of the song itself.

The music video shoot was two very intense days of hard work in the cold, we knew we wanted to work with the very talented Pavel Trebukhin, and we are incredibly happy with the result!”

ten56. (Ex-Betraying The Martyrs, Etc.) Premiere “Diazepam” Music Video

ten56., the new band featuring Aaron Matts (ex-Betraying The Martyrs), Quentin Godet (Kadinja), Luka Garotin (Earth Trip), Nicolas Delestrade (Novelists FR), and Arnaud Verrier (Uneven Structure). have premiered a new song titled “Diazepam.” You can find an official video for that below:

Matts commented:

“As is the case for all of the tracks on the record, it’s been a true battle putting the thoughts I have into words on paper; the song’s true meanings are there to be found inside the lyrics, and given the nature of the subject matters I don’t feel super comfortable going too deeply into the gritty details. I’ve done my best to put it all out there in these tracks so I feel there’s nothing left to say, plus therapists are expensive, hence the birth of ten56.”

“We’ve been working on this silently for over a year and have a lot of surprises all backed up and ready to go; I can confidently say that no matter what people’s first impressions of our first single may be, they should not be hasty to form an opinion until they have heard the whole upcoming record, each single is going to a shock to the system, that I am sure of!

As for the guys in the band, it’s been a help being in the game for over ten years, it started with Arnaud, then together we hand picked from our close friends who we knew would be the perfect fit, and fuck me we lucked out, everyone is so sick.”
