Limbs Premiere “Blood And Heel” Music Video

Limbs have premiered a new video for their new song “Blood And Heel.” This track is from the band’s new EP “Coma Year,” which was officially released today (June 24). Austin McAuley commented:

“This song is my quarantine anthem. Simply put, it’s a vivid recollection of the mental and physical toll the pandemic has taken on myself and those around me. The song describes the often unhealthy coping mechanisms I employed to deal with the stress and uncertainty I faced in my personal life, as well as my role as an artist while the world was in a volatile state. At the end of it all, I felt like the only person who could help me was myself. I didn’t want to rely on anyone else to solve any issues I may have due to the stresses of being in unprecedented times from a pandemic.”

Limbs Premiere New Song “Slow Burn”

Limbs have premiered a new song titled “Slow Burn.” This track is from the band’s new EP “Coma Year,” which will be released on June 24. Vocalist Austin McAuley commented:

“‘Slow Burn‘ is a first-hand account of dealing with anxiety and panic disorder. It lays out the inner struggle of combating all stages of a panic attack and the mental anguish that follows. In the moment that an attack reaches its peak, it feels like my heart is going to stop; like I have no control over the events taking place. From my racing pulse to blurred vision and cold sweats, it seems impossible that I’ll ever make it out on top. But in the end, I always find a way to bring myself out of it, somehow able to find the strength to carry on. But that strength is so easily forgotten whenever another episode arises.”

Vocalist Austin McAuley commented:

“I have absolutely poured myself out into this EP, lyrically. It’s been a form of therapy for me to write these songs and get things off my chest. I lost my father in 2015, and as much as I’ve been doing my best to get by over the years, as soon as the pandemic hit, it felt like I was reliving all of those feelings all over again and losing everything important to me. It amplified those feelings I’d tried to bury.”

Guitarist Jordan Hunter continued:

“Even if these stories are not their experience in a literal sense, I think listeners will connect to the total honesty and vulnerability we’ve put on the table. These are the insecurities and traumas we face on a day-to-day basis, and we’ve learned that the only way you ever overcome something is by bringing it to the forefront and tackling it. And that’s exactly what these lyrics do.”

McAuley also added:

“I just want them to know that you’re never truly alone. If you’re struggling with anything, if the words in this song hit you in a specific way, talk to me, reach out to your loved ones. I want this EP to be a siren or a beacon for people to hear and realize that they’re not the only one in a dark place.”

LIMBS Premiere “Spirit Breaker” Music Video

LIMBS have premiered a new video for their new song “Spirit Breaker.” You can check that out below:

Vocalist Austin McAuley commented:

“These words are a look inward to the personal loss I can’t seem to escape. From grandparents, my father, friends and even pets, it’s a looming feeling that I can’t shake off. I’m always worried about what’s going to come next and it fuels my anxiety to an uncontrollable degree. After losing so much in such a short time, I have times mentally, where I become numb to the thought of losing someone or something else.”

He went on to say that the track was also influenced by the final conversation he had with his late childhood friend:

“The song follows our last conversation before his death, shifting between my friend’s dialogue and my own feelings of being unable to rescue him from his addiction. The narrative reaches a breaking point when I reflect on his passing, overwhelmed with guilt by feeling like I could have done more to save him.

Ultimately, it provides a moment of clarity for me, showing that nothing in this life is permanent and we can only do so much to help the ones we love. In the end, we become powerless to a situation where the other person doesn’t even want to save themselves.”

Limbs Premiere “Suffering” Video

Limbs have premiered a new video for their new song “Suffering.” This track is from the band’s new EP “Only The Lonely Know,” which was release today (October 23). That effort also includes two previously released singles, “Empty Vessel” and “I Used To Be You.“

Limbs Premiere “I Used To Be You” Video

Limbs have premiered a new video for their new single “I Used To Be You.“ You can check that out below:

Austin McAuley commented:

“‘I Used To Be You‘ was written as a reflection of my past, riddled with toxic relationships, substance abuse and struggling to cope with the loss of my father. The song is an introspective look into the person I became when life was at its darkest, but narrates how I was able to overcome adversity and better myself, for my own sake and those around me.

The driving force behind this story of rebirth is the memory of my father, his voice in my head telling me not to give up, to never stop fighting. ‘For all that I’ve seen, as long as you stayed…I can’t be afraid to live up to your name.’ Because of him, forever living through me, I embraced defeat and uncertainty, recognizing who I once was and striving to better myself by all means necessary.”

Limbs Premiere “Empty Vessel” Video

Limbs have premiered a new video for their new song “Empty Vessel.“ Frontman Austin McAuley commented:

“‘Empty Vessel‘ was inspired by my own struggles of balancing my personal life while also pursuing the perpetual dream of ‘success’ as an artist. The song immerses the listener in themes of self-sacrifice, vulnerability and the constant desire to have one’s voice heard. The chorus beckons, ‘How long is the breath that I have to hold before I’m worth my weight in gold?’ This statement reflects the trials and tribulations of those who will do anything to make their dreams come true…but as the lyrics tell, ‘How does it feel? Only the lonely know.’”
