Hollow Front Part Ways With Drummer Devin Attard

Hollow Front have parted ways with drummer Devin Attard. A replacement has yet to be revealed.

The band commented:

“It’s with a heavy heart that we must announce the departure of our drummer, Devin Attard.

First and foremost, there is no bad blood between us. We’ve mutually decided to part ways. We wish nothing but happiness and success for one another. Devin has been a huge part of Hollow Front for the past 3 years, we love him dearly and are very excited to see what he does next.”

Attard added:

“It’s hard to put into words how grateful and appreciative I am for how embracing the HF community has been since I joined the band at 19 years old. All of the conversations I’ve had at the merch table with so many amazing people & the story’s I heard of how we played an impact on someone’s life is the reason why I loved metalcore and touring so much.

I’ll always love and appreciate every fan and supporter that got the band to where it is now, and it’s only starting! I’m so excited for this band to thrive and continue to kick ass along the way! I will always look back and appreciate all the moments I had with the guys, I can’t wait to watch everyone succeed.

As for me I need to follow and do what I feel is most important as an artist. Im going to be making so many changes and experiencing a whole new side of things that I can’t wait to share with everyone, and I hope I get to see some familiar faces along the way! I love you all, see you soon! ♥️”

Hollow Front Premiere “Heritage” Music Video

Hollow Front have premiered a new video for their new song “Heritage.” This track is from the band’s new album “The Price Of Dreaming,” which will be released on May 27. The group commented:

“‘Heritage‘ was created as a response to those who validate systemic racism by justifying it under the guise of ‘heritage.’ If anyone claims their ‘heritage’ allows for hate to thrive, and violence against a targeted group of people to be inconsequential, then this song is for them.”

Hollow Front Involved In Traffic Accident, GoFundMe Launched

Hollow Front were recently involved in an traffic accident in Sutherlin, OR. The band “were side swiped by an illegal dump truck” and their merch person Davion Michael ended up injured with a separated AC and clavicle. You can help them out by donating via GoFundMe.

The group commented:

“This morning in Sutherlin, Oregon we were side swiped by an illegal dump truck. Our best friend, team mate, and merch guy @davion_michael was injured and his AC and clavicle is separated. Please keep him in your thoughts for an easy recovery. We love Davion with all of our hearts and he is a very important piece to our crew, so make sure to send him some love.

Everyone else in HF is not injured and all in all everyone is OK, but our bus is unfortunately done.

We have been working things out throughout the day, so it’s safe to say we will NOT be dropping off the tour which is awesome! But unfortunately we will not be able to perform in Portland, OR & Boise, ID.

We’re so glad everyone is fine, this could have been much worse and we are lucky to be alive. We can’t wait to get back on the road and on stage, but for these next couple days we’re going to prepare to do just that. We really appreciate your support, love, and patience.

We love you

– Tyler, Devin, Dakota, & Brandon“

They later added the following in an update:

“UPDATE – WE HAVE A VAN!!! 🥳😭

We’ll see you tonight in Spokane, WA and on the rest of The Dark Path Tour! 🍾

Huge shoutout to Robert and Craig over at EmeraldCity AutoSales for making this an easy process, Rob even picked us up from the train station in the new van.. absolutely amazing. The amount of support we’ve been shown through this hard time has really made it clear to us how important Hollow Front is to not only the members, but to everyone else as well.
We love you guys! 🖤🚐

-Devin & Dakota”

Hollow Front Premiere “Comatose” Music Video

Hollow Front have premiered a new video for their new song “Comatose.” You can check that out below:

Tyler Tate commented:

“I came up with this concept while being caught in the depths of depression during the heaviest part of the pandemic. When the entire music industry was shut down, and there was no sign of a comeback sight. Everything we had worked for was taken away in the blink of an eye and we had no idea when we would get it back. It was terrifying.

I felt like I was fighting an impending darkness all the time, what I refer to in the song as ‘the sleep’; that feeling as if you’re just floating through your life, without happiness or purpose. Almost like being in a coma, but still retaining your higher cognitive functions. You’re aware of what’s happening around you, but don’t know how long you’ll be stuck this way, or if you’ll ever truly feel awake and alive again.

But you have no choice but to press on, even though you feel trapped by the weight of carrying on. I think a lot of human beings feel this way, especially over the past few years. Some of us are on autopilot, just taking life day by day and hoping to feel happy and normal again.”

Hollow Front Premiere “Treading Water” Music Video

Hollow Front have premiered a new video for their latest single “Treading Water.” You can check that out below:

Tyler Tate said the following about the song:

“It’s a song about being dragged under by the negative thoughts in your head and always feeling like you’re taking one step forward and ten steps back. It describes that feeling of drowning in your life, but always fighting and clawing your way back up to the surface, and not believing all the negative things your mind is telling you because you have a purpose to fulfil.

It’s one of my favorite songs that we’ve ever written and I’m absolutely thrilled to release it for the world to hear. ‘Treading Water’ is the first big step towards releasing the best material we’ve created this far in our careers.”

He also added the following about the video:

“It doesn’t really tie in with the theme of the lyrics for the song, per se. We just really wanted to do something exciting and completely different from our previous music videos. Creatively, we tried to branch out and create a video that the viewers couldn’t take their eyes off, with plenty of high energy and high stakes throughout, with an intense focus on the action elements.

Filming ‘Treading Water‘ was by the far the most fun we’ve had a music video shoot ever. We’ve done plenty of ‘low budget’ music videos meant to make the viewer feel the emotions of the song and the weight of the lyrics. So we really went into the process for the ‘Treading Water‘ music video making sure we were doing everything the opposite of that — if it wasn’t fun to shoot, then we weren’t doing our jobs correctly.”

Hollow Front Premiere New Song “Treading Water”

Hollow Front have premiered a new song titled “Treading Water.” Tyler Tate commented:

“It’s a song about being dragged under by the negative thoughts in your head and always feeling like you’re taking one step forward and ten steps back. It describes that feeling of drowning in your life, but always fighting and clawing your way back up to the surface, and not believing all the negative things your mind is telling you because you have a purpose to fulfil. Hollow Front Premiere New Video For “Falling Apart” Featuring Fit For A King’s Ryan Kirby

Hollow Front have released a new version of “Falling Apart” featuring Fit For A King’s Ryan Kirby. The updated take on the track is available on the vinyl reissue of the band’s latest album “Loose Threads.”

Vocalist Tyler Tate commented:

“It’s an extremely dark song about my views of the world we live in today. From where I’ve been standing, especially during/after 2020, it’s become impossible to see the light at the end of the tunnel when you’re constantly surrounded by the negativity our world has been seemingly plagued with.

In reference to the title, I think the fabric of humanity is falling apart, ravaged by greed, disease, and an utter lack of empathy for our fellow man. We’re a complicated species, with all the capabilities to create a peaceful and harmonious world, but instead we use our powers to destroy and divide… and while my views of the world may be morose, I don’t have much “faith” in humanity doing the right thing. While I truly hope it happens, I won’t be holding my breath.”

Tate also added the following about working with Kirby:

“We’ve been working together for over two years now and without Ryan we definitely wouldn’t be where we are today. Having him hop on ‘Falling Apart‘ to guest feature for this re-release of the song was a real treat for us. Everyone in the band have been huge fans of FFAK, and a lot of HF’s original sound came from being inspired by Kirby and his band’s work. It feels like it’s come full circle in a way and we couldn’t be more proud to have someone like Ryan in our corner.”

In other news, Hollow Front are also recording a new album at Atrium Audio.
