Davion Cuttler (Hollow Front, VCTMS) To Take A Hiatus From Touring

Davion Cuttler (Hollow Front, VCTMS) is planning to take a hiatus from touring. The bassist wants to “slow [his] life down for a while and give more attention to [his] home life and overall wellbeing.”

Cuttler said the following:

“This is an announcement I didn’t want to have to make.

I will be taking a hiatus from touring for an undetermined amount of time. Feels like I’m cutting a piece of myself off by saying it, but it’s the necessary decision for me at this time.

I can’t speak for all musicians, but I personally feel like the luckiest man in the world to have been able to call this crazy lifestyle of being a touring musician my ‘job’ for the past 5 years. However, I feel I CAN speak for all musicians when I say your physical health, mental health and health of your home life should always come first. As amazing as this lifestyle is, it’s important to remember that it also comes with a laundry list of sacrifices, some of which being at the detriment of the people you hold closest to you.

With all that being said, making this choice means I regrettably wont be hitting the road with VCTMS for their tour with Thousand Below in the coming weeks. Please make sure to go out to the shows and give them an extra bit of love for me.

Along with this hiatus from touring, I will also be taking a bit of a step back from my activity on socials. Even though I haven’t been very active to begin with in the recent months while I’ve been reflecting and coming to terms with making this decision.

I need to slow my life down for a while and give more attention to my home life and overall wellbeing. I don’t know how long I’ll be away from everything for, but it’ll take as long as it has to.

Much love. ❤️”
