Metallica, Tool, Mammoth WVH, Etc. Members To Perform During Ozzy Osbourne’s Rock Hall Induction

The all-star performance lineup for Ozzy Osbourne’s Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction has officially been revealed. Among the artists taking part are: Billy Idol, Maynard James Keenan (Tool), Jelly Roll, Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Pantera, etc.), Andrew Watt (Post Malone, etc.), Steve Stevens (Billy Idol, etc.), Wolfgang Van Halen (Mammoth WVH), Robert Trujillo (Metallica), and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers). Actor/musician Jack Black (Tenacious D) will also be on hand to make the induction speech.

Osbourne told Rolling Stone the following:

“I don’t know what to think. I’m still in shock that I’m getting inducted for a second time. But at the same time, I’m very excited.

Jack invited my family to the ‘School Of Rock’ movie premiere in 2002. I’ve always been a big fan of his. Jack is one of the few great actors that is also a genuine rock & roller and not acting the part.

Billy Idol is a rock icon. His music is timeless. Billy Idol should be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Maynard has been a true family friend since 1997. He is such a creative force. There are few artists who can keep three successful bands going for multiple decades.

Who doesn’t love Jelly Roll?. His voice is soulful, pure, and dirty. I’m so honored that someone would do this for me who I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting.

The rhythm section is the anchor of the band, and you honestly couldn’t get a better rhythm section than Robert Trujillo and Chad Smith.”

As previously reported, the ceremony will take place at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, OH on October 19. Fans will be able to watch it live via Disney+.
