This news comes as Smashing Pumpkins and Jane’s Addiction are preparing for their upcoming tour together.

Wolfgang Van Halen‘s solo project Mammoth WVH performed an acoustic version of “Distance” on the “Today” show earlier today (February 19). You can see footage of that below. As previously reported, Mammoth WVH‘s self-titled debut album will be released on June 11.

Aerosmith To Perform On “Today”

Aerosmith have announced that they will be performing as part of the “Today” show’s Concert Series on August 15. The band are rumored to be announcing a tour and possibly a new album on the show. NBC issued the following statement:

“Aerosmith is coming to ‘Today’!! The popular, legendary group behind such hits as ‘Dream On’, ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ and ‘Crazy’ will rock ‘Today’ with a performance on Rockefeller Plaza… Viewing is on a first-come, first-served basis on the Today plaza, located at 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in New York City. To get the best spot, fans should try to arrive by 5 a.m. Generally, concerts happen rain or shine.”
