Wiegedood have premiered a new song titled “Carousel.” This track is from the band’s new album “There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road,” which will be released on January 14. The group commented:
“One riff descending round and round into the abyss like a sputtering carousel. Pulling and pushing downwards at the same time.”
Wiegedood will be releasing a new album, titled “There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road,” on January 14, 2022. The band said the following about that:
“’There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road’ focuses on the filthiest and most disgusting parts of human nature and society. It steers clear from the typical black metal themes and concepts, instead zoning in on the struggle we lead within, trying to overcome the fact we are all made from that same filth. Exploring places the previous trilogy didn’t even scratch the surface of, both lyrically and musically. A first-hand look into pure disgust, a psychotic ride with synths, tape-recorders, hot club jazz and distressing samples. A definite switch from our previous work, a dark turn into something unexpected and unwelcome”

Wiegedood, the band featuring Oathbreaker’s Levy Seynaeve (also of Amenra), Wim Coppers, and Gilles Demolder, have signed a new deal with Century Media. They will release their new album “De Doden Hebben het Goed III” through the label in spring 2018. That effort will be the final part of the group’s trilogy.
