Red Fang Share Cover Of AC/DC’s “Hells Bells”

Red Fang have released their cover of AC/DC‘s “Hells Bells.” This track is from Magnetic Eye Records‘ upcoming “Back In Black“ tribute album, which will be released on December 3 alongside another AC/DC tribute album called “Best Of AC/DC [Redux].”

Red Fang’s Bryan Giles commented:

“I saw AC/DC in 1988 at the TCC in Tucson, AZ. It was the second arena rock show of my young life. What struck me then and still sticks with me today is how perfectly they harnessed the power of the blues for a rock style. Even though they brought out cannons for ‘For Those About to Rock‘ and had the requisite lights and pyro, it was a 100 percent no-bullshit, go-for-the-throat show. They’re the best band in the world at stripping all artifice and bringing pure beauty. They’re a constant reminder that in songwriting, less can be way more.

Covering ‘Hells Bells‘ was pretty intimidating to me initially. How do you improve on a benchmark song like that? It’s expertly constructed and has so much personality that falling short of the original is guaranteed. When David [Sullivan, guitarist] played the intro guitar part at practice with a darker turn to it, I immediately felt more confident since it leaned more into our sensibility. If you can’t play it better, make it your own animal. I hope people can enjoy our version in its own light. Let there be rock!”

Red Fang Premiere “Rabbit In Hives” Video

Red Fang have premiered a new video for their song “Rabbit In Hives.” The clip features members of High On Fire, YOB, Lord Dying, etc. and it can be seen below. The track is from the band’s latest album “Arrows.” Red Fang guitarist/vocalist Brian Giles commented:

“When I showed up at the funeral shoot I had no idea that all of these rock luminaries from the Pacific Northwest would be lavishing such heartfelt praise on the corpse of our band. It was an honor to say the least. It’s nice to know that when our number is up we will be missed!”

Red Fang Premiere “Throw Up” Live Video

Red Fang have premiered a new live video for their song “Throw Up.” The footage is taken from the band’s recent livestream show at Mississippi Studios in Portland, OR. The track appears on their 2011 album “Murder The Mountains.” Aaron Beam said the following:

“Hi everyone! Super bummed we won’t be doing any live shows this fall, but here’s a video of us playing an intimate show in Portland back on July 8th. We know it’s not the same, but it’s the best we can do right now!”

Red Fang Cancel Fall U.S. Tour

Red Fang have cancelled their fall U.S. tour with Starcrawler, Here Lies Man, and Warish due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The band issued the following statement:

“Unfortunately, our cautious optimism has turned into stark realism and we have decided to cancel our appearance at ‘Louder Than Life‘ festival and our upcoming Fall US tour in the interest of public safety. We feel it’s not realistic to play shows in a safe/responsible manner and the best thing to do is hang back and wait until the situation improves. Until then, take care of each other. Love, Red Fang. Refunds will be available at point of sale.”
