Escape The Fate Accused Of Stealing Artwork From Dead Letter Circus

Artist Cameron Gray has blasted Escape The Fate for allegedly stealing artwork he created for Dead Letter Circus. The issue stems from the cover art for Escape The Fate’s upcoming single “H8 Myself,” which looks very similar to the cover art for Dead Letter Circus’ 2010 single “Cage.” Gray issued the following statement:

“Disappointed to find out today of a large band that I’ve enjoyed and admired for years ripping off my art, especially after they approached me to enquire about my album art. I always keep these things private but this one stings quite a lot as it was artwork I created for Warner Bros and Dead Letter Circus who I have a deep love and respect for since they helped me become who I am today. And personally as I’ve gotten older I’ve become sick of protecting peoples shitty behaviour. Escape The Fate”

Dead Letter Circus Premiere “The Armour You Own” Music Video

Frontman Kim Benzie commented:

“‘The Armour You Own‘ spawned from guiding someone important in my life through a bout of anxiety. The constant musing around flipping your moments of fragility into opportunities for growth. TAYO is the perfect vessel for this message – it’s a pulsing confident riff-monster, whilst dripping with positivity.”

In other news, the group have also signed a new deal with Rise Records, and have announced an Australian tour as well.
