Alesana To Release “Annabel” Book/Announce Tour With Oh, Sleeper, Famous Last Words, & Artwork

Alesana have revealed that they will be releasing a new book called “Annabel” on August 31. The book will tell the story that spans across their three concept albums, and it will also come with a special edition of “Confessions.” That version of the album will come with two bonus tracks. Preorders can be found HERE.

Shawn Milke said the following:

“This story has been a work in progress for nearly seven years. It began when Dennis and I decided to tell our own story through the albums of Alesana. It eventually grew into an album trilogy and now, finally, a short novel. Creating this abstract universe and telling the story of Annabel has been, in every way possible, both challenging and rewarding. It is an accomplishment that still stuns me to this day. Thank you to everyone who has joined us on this journey.”

In other news, the band will be performing “On Frail Wings Of Vanity” in full on an upcoming tour with Oh Sleeper, Famous Last Words, and Artwork:

10/01 New York, NY – Webster Hall
10/02 Cleveland, OH – Agora Ballroom
10/03 Lansing, MI – The Loft
10/04 Valparaiso, IN – Big Shots
10/05 Crest Hill, IL – Bada Brew

Alesana Premiere Second Part Of “Comedy Of Errors” Video

Alesana have released the second part of their “Comedy Of Errors” music video/short film, via Loudwire. This song is from the band’s latest album “Confessions,” which is available now.

Shawn Mike issued the following statement:

“Today is the day my inbox will stop being flooded with ‘where is part two?!.’ Director Justin Reich knocked this out of the park. It is always a pleasure to work with him and to watch his creative eye bring our characters to life was a wonderful experience. The video does a great job of answering questions while still leaving plenty of ambiguity as we get closer to the release of the full written story. May the emptiness continue to haunt you.”

Alesana Premiere New Acoustic Song “Hiatus”

Alesana have premiered a new acoustic track titled “Hiatus,” via Revolver. This song is from Revival Recordings’ new compilation “It’s All Acoustic,” which will be released on January 29.

Shawn Mike issued the following statement:

“Shane [Crump] and I wrote ‘Hiatus’ together as a way to examine where we are as friends and bandmates. It is a song about change and the emotions attached to the experience. We wanted the song to be raw, to feel raw. No bells and whistles.

Alesana has been a band for 11 years. Most of us were teenagers when we started this band and now we are grown men with families and new desires to explore fresh pursuits and challenges.

Alesana is such a large part of who and what we are and this song is a recognition that all things, no matter how wonderful, eventually change and transform; but we can’t allow ourselves to forget the journey and how important, and fun, it was getting here.”

Alesana Premiere First Part Of “Comedy Of Errors” Video

Alesana have released the first part of their “Comedy Of Errors” music video/short film, via Loudwire. This song is from the band’s latest album “Confessions,” which is available now.

Shawn Mike issued the following statement:

“It is with great pleasure that we unveil part 1 of our short film / music video for ‘Comedy of Errors‘. The video was directed by our great friend Justin Reich and as always he did a killer job! The video takes you on a visual journey through the 3rd installment of our Annabel trilogy. With the third part of the story releasing later this winter, this video is an awesome way to get a glimpse into some of the twists and turns that are soon to haunt your mind. ‘Comedy of Errors‘, which is one of my favorite Alesana tunes of all time, is featured on our most recent studio album ‘Confessions‘ so check it out!”
