AC/DC have been celebrating the 40th anniversary of “Highway To Hell” by sharing vintage videos from their July 13, 1979 set on the Dutch TV show “Countdown.” The clips were previously available as part of the band’s 2007 “Plug Me In” DVD box set, but they were not available online until now. The latest one finds the band performing “Whole Lotta Rosie” off their 1977 album “Let There Be Rock.”

Guns N’ Roses Pay Tribute To Malcolm Young (AC/DC) In Sacramento, CA

During Guns N’ Roses’ show in Sacramento, CA last night (November 18), the band paid tribute to Malcolm Young (AC/DC) by dedicating their cover of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” to the guitarist, and following it up with a cover of AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie.” Axl Rose told the crowd the following:

“We’re gonna dedicate this to Mr. Malcolm Young, who will be sorely missed by none more than his brother Angus.”

During their July 12 show in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, Guns N’ Roses were joined onstage by Angus Young for some covers of AC/DC’s “Riff Raff” and “Whole Lotta Rosie.” This news shouldn’t be too surprising considering Young has previously performed these tracks with the band, and the fact that Axl Rose has been handling vocal duties for AC/DC.
