During their May 23 set at the BottleRock festival in Napa, CA, Foo Fighters performed a live cover of The Vaselines‘ “Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam.” You can see fan-filmed footage of that below. The cover choice was significant considering frontman Dave Grohl used to perform it with Nirvana.
Last night (September 1), Krist Novoselic joined his former Nirvana bandmates Dave Grohl and Pat Smear onstage at Foo Fighters’ Seattle, WA show. You can see footage of them covering The Vaselines‘ “Molly’s Lips“ below. That track was previously covered by Nirvana and it appeared on their “Incesticide” compilation.
