Within Temptation & Evanescence Postpone European/UK Tour To 2021

Within Temptation and Evanescence have postponed their European/UK tour once again due to the coronavirus pandemic. The trek will now take place in fall 2021.

Within Temptation’s Sharon Den Adel commented:

Knowing that we won’t get to play for you this year is hard for everyone, but everyone’s health and well-being is our number one priority. Whatever happens, this tour will happen! We can’t wait to see you again in 2021. For now: stay safe.”

Evanescence’s Amy Lee added:

“We are so disappointed that we won’t be seeing you this fall, but we’re accepting the challenge 2020 is giving us and pouring our time and hearts into making a great album instead. Friends, we miss you terribly and can’t wait to play these songs for you next year! Be safe, be well, we love you!”

Within Temptation Planning To Release More New Music In The Coming Months

Within Temptation recently released a new single titled “Entertain You” and now it looks like the band are planning to release more music in the coming months. Sharon Den Adel was recently interviewed by Anne Erickson of Audio Ink Radio and she had the following to say when asked if the group will be releasing more new material:

“I think so. That’s our plan, anyway. We’ve only recorded two songs, and we have a lot of demos, which are very far, so we can finish them quite quickly. So we’re just gonna start with that — we’re gonna make those demos real songs, and eventually, next year, we’re gonna release also a few songs again. Eventually there will be an album, but the album is not complete yet, so we have to start writing also some extra new songs to make the whole album complete.”

Within Temptation Premiere “Entertain You” Music Video

Within Temptation have premiered a new video for their latest single “Entertain You.” You can check that out below.

Sharon Den Adel told Kerrang! the following:

“The best way to explain the lyrics is to see how we treat a certain groups of people that don’t fit in our society. [There is] a need to emphasise that they do not fit in so we can feel good about ourselves. We’re singling them out, cornering them in all sorts of ways – think of videos of fights in the streets, filming an incident instead of helping someone. They’re not here for our entertainment. It’s a problem that has always been a part of society and it will always be there, unfortunately. So this subject is never old, but it’s something we need to keep talking about so it doesn’t get accepted as normal behaviour.”

Within Temptation and Evanescence have postponed their European/UK tour due to the coronavirus pandemic. The trek is now expected to take place in the fall.

Within Temptation’s Sharon Den Adel commented:

“We are sorry to announce that our tour will be postponed. Nevertheless, in the meantime we will continue our preparation for the most kick-ass tour ever and more good news, new WT material will see daylight before the tour starts. We can’t wait to see you when the time comes. In the meantime, take care and be safe.”

Evanescence’s Amy Lee added:

“As many of you have already predicted, it is beyond our control that our upcoming European tour will have to be postponed. The show WILL go on, and we are already busy locking in the new dates for this fall. We are disappointed to make you wait, but fully agree that your health, safety and lives are more important than a concert. We will be releasing the first new music from our new album very soon, and are going to turn our full focus toward that till the show can go on. Stay tuned for new dates and new music. We love you!”
