Dragged Under will be releasing a new album, titled “Social Battery: Low,” on March 12, 2027. The record comes after the band reunited with guitarist Ryan “Fluff” Bruce and bassist Hans Hessburg.

Frontman Anthony Cappocchi commented:

“I was so mad when [Bruce and Hessburg] left like that. It took all the fun out of it for me, and all that was left was anger. But with time, the fire turns to embers, the embers turn to ashes, and the ashes turn to dust. Then I was like, ‘What was I mad about in the first place?’ But we couldn’t have done this new album if that hadn’t happened.

The time off gave everyone perspective. We realized that we were lucky to have been able to play shows and put out records in the first place. And we’re lucky to be in a position now to continue to do it. That got us pumped to make the best album we could make.

Our band was never better than it was with our core members — me, Sean, Hans, and Fluff. In a way, it’s like mom and dad got back together. And since they’ve been back, those dudes have been as committed to Dragged Under and as stoked about it as they were when they first joined. Knowing that only made us want to be bigger than ever.”

A music video for the effort’s first single, “Razor’s Edge Collapse,” can be found below. Cappocchi added the following about that track:

“It’s about feeling like your city is always on that razor’s edge, and any day it could all go upside-down. We lived on a busy street right near a mall. We’d hear cops flying down our street all the time. We loved living in Seattle when we were younger, but we had to move because it got dangerous in a lot of ways and I’m not going to do anything that would put me or my kids in danger. If something happened to me, they wouldn’t have a father.”
