Blue Öyster Cult have announced a new album titled “Ghost Stories.” The effort will be released on April 12 and it “marks a fitting finale to the [band’s] recording legacy.” The record is mostly composed of songs that were originally recorded between 1978 and 1983. It also includes “If I Fell,” which dates back to 2016, and the only known recording of the band’s take on MC5’s “Kick Out the Jams.” The tracks were taken from reel-to-reel analog tape and have since been transferred to digital audio.
