Former 3 Doors Down Bassist Todd Harrell Faces More Prison Time After Allegedly Having Drugs Sent To A Correctional Facility

Former 3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell was previously arrested in June for illegal possession of a firearm and drugs. Now, the Sun Herald are reporting that he has gotten himself into more trouble for introducing narcotics into a correctional facility. The drugs were found after his incoming mail was screened at the Jackson County Jail in Mississippi. Harrell was previously charged with vehicular homicide in 2013 after he killed 47-year-old Paul Shoulders, while driving under the influence. He was then fired from 3 Doors Down shortly after.

Doctor Of The Late Matt Roberts (Ex-3 Doors Down) Found Not Guilty

According to AL.com, Dr. Richard Snellgrove, who prescribed the late Matt Roberts (ex-3 Doors Down) fentanyl and other drugs, has been acquitted of federal charges. The jury returned their verdict on Monday. Snellgrove was charged with 13 counts of writing prescriptions that were not medically necessary. He is still facing a wrongful death suit.

Doctor Of The Late Matt Roberts (Ex-3 Doors Down) Set To Go On Trial

According to the Sun Herald, Dr. Richard Snellgrove, who prescribed the late Matt Roberts (ex-3 Doors Down) fentanyl and other drugs, is set to go on trial tomorrow (May 11) in Mobile, Alabama. Snellgrove is charged with 13 counts of writing prescriptions that were not medically necessary. Roberts passed away in August 2016 from a drug overdose and if prosecutors prove the fentanyl Snellgrove prescribed killed the guitarist he will receive a mandatory minimum of 20 years in prison. If he is found guilty on all other counts he could be sentenced to life in prison.

Estate Of The Late Matt Roberts (Ex-3 Doors Down) Files Suit Against Doctor & Pharmacy

Back in 2016, former 3 Doors Down guitarist Matt Roberts passed away as a result of accidental prescription drug overdose, and now TMZ are reporting that his estate has filed a lawsuit against Dr. Richard Snellgrove and Rite Aid pharmacy over the musician’s death. His estate claims Snellgrove had been prescribing Roberts with high levels of opioids and benzodiazepines for years before his death, and that Rite Aid was not complying with the Controlled Substances Act. In November 2016 Snellgrove was indicted for “illegal drug distribution.”

Matt Roberts (Ex-3 Doors Down) Dead at 38

Former 3 Doors Down guitarist, Matt Roberts has passed away at the age of 38. According to TMZ, him and his father Darrell were just outside Wisconsin for a charity event, which Matt was planning to perform at. After rehearsals the two went to their hotel with adjoining rooms, and Darrell woke up at 9:00 AM with police saying his son had died. Matt’s cause of death is suspected to be a result of overdose on prescription drugs. R.I.P.
