Footage Of Prophets Of Rage (Rage Against The Machine, Etc.) Protesting The RNC Available/Band Shares Studio Version Of “Prophets Of Rage” Song

As promised, Prophets Of Rage, the band featuring Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk, Public Enemy’s Chuck D and DJ Lord, and Cypress Hill’s B-Real, will protested the Republican National Convention with some performances in Cleveland, OH today (July 18). One show was a full band show, while other protests were done without all their instruments.

In other news, the band have also released a studio version of their updated version of Public Enemy’s “Prophets Of Rage.” The group also plan to perform the track on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on July 25.

Wilk said the following about the song:

“In a year we won’t soon forget, “Prophets of Rage” is a song/band made for the countless people who feel they no longer have a voice in a system that only caters to a select few. This song is a solid chop in a dulled world of mindless pop. I’m honored to be making music with Tom, DJ Lord, Tim, Chuck D, and B Real. And to have Brendan O’Brien producing these tracks is an amazing match. Power to the People”
